Thanks for the tutorial! The new EFB flight planning had me stumped because I was so used to MSFS 2020's flight planning in the menu, lol. Personally, I have not been having any of the graphical/server issues aside from the queue on day one, but that aside, the actual gameplay has been flawless. No blurred textures in the world or the flight deck for me, thankfully. I don't have a whole lot of time played yet, but what I have played, I enjoyed it. Hope the bugs ease off for you because it seems like a nightmare; as for the majority of people, it seems.

Key for me was setting the ILS frequency. Thank you. I had to descent via VS control, but once LOC is set it descends by itself fine. The annoying thing is the discontinuity waypoints which can be fixed in the FMC like you mentioned

If you enter the ZFW (zero fuel weight) the system will propose your V1, V2, and Vr speeds. Just go to the efb tablet -> Aircraft -> flight performances -> mass and balance -> and then click on the question mark next to total mass. There should be a line there called ZFW, divide the number by 1000 and enter it into the FMS, if you then add flap settings and such it should automatically calculate V1, V2, and Vr speeds. Just click on each line to confirm the suggestion and then execute.

I'm having this weird issue where the EFB is not functioning as it should. When I put my arrival/departure airports and their respective runways, the routing doesn't line up properly. It just routes the arrival transition down to the arrival runway, but anything before that is missing. I even put in a departure procedure, yet it never connects to finish the route or anything. Kinda frustrating, tbh. I'm probably doing something wrong that I don't understand fully, maybe. I tried having my boyfriend check it out because he's more into aviation than I am, and it even confused him.

It was only showing the transition waypoint and the other points down to the arrival runway. The actual departure to cruise section of the plan is just gone . . . I'm not sure what that's about. You're probably right about it being buggy, or I'm not understanding something on my end and the issue is me.

Very good video! Many good pieces of information! I have noticed that the weights entered in the FMC were in pound but the aircraft seems to be set in kilogram. This could have explained the unusual flight behavior of the plane during some phases of flight. The typical Vref (with flaps 40) should be around 130kts to 140kts with regular weights ranging from 50 to 70 tonnes planned for landing. As you probably noticed during the approach with flaps 40, the speed limit on the speed tape was very close to your flying speed and the aircraft had a tendency to gain altitude as you initiated the flare, requiring a pitch down action to land. A simple rough division of your figures by a factor of 2 will definite improve your future flight! Once again, very nice video! I'm looking forward to seing more of your content!

So my problem is that i dont have a TOD showing anywhere on the 737 max, my flight plan have constraint alt and i put the MCP alt at for exemple 1700 but no TOD or T/D showing up on the ND. For more exemple, on the CDU in the vnav page there is nothing written to To T/D ____z/____nm. Like im not a pilot im just a gamer that love to play msfs i can make the vnav work on citation cj4 and cirrus vision but on the 737 it just dont work and i dont know why.

@@sebastianthehotsaucedude5473 The 747/787 still auto import. The MAX will probably be updated to do so. FMC nav mode still uses GPS for positioning. The waypoints themselves are a mix of VORs and virtual GPS waypoints.

Having a couple issues with the 737… first one is ATC doesn’t tell me when to decend I did choose IFR and filed it with ATC, but still nothing so no clue when to decend. Other issue is even at cruise. The engines are fluctuating from 93% to 64% and they keep going back-and-forth between those two they don’t stay the same. Any suggestions?

I have found the same, actually if you wait for the ATC to tell you to decend, you have to do some crazy dive to get down fast enough. Just try and judge it yourself, sometimes the ATC will even tell you off for going out of you flight level, but whatever......

I built a new PC, Core i9 12900, 32gb ddr5 ram, mvne with msfs2024 on it, and my pre-existing rtx 3060ti. MSFS 2024 is still a challenge with all of its new commands (don't know why they didn't keep msfs 2020 commands). But my MSFS 2020 is to rocking top guns now, so I've gravitated by to msfs 2020. Tried msfs 2024 four time and end up shutting it down. In 2020, I could use certain key combinations, for different views inside the cockpit, EX a. one for looking at all of the pancel instruments, another ,CtrlAlt2= for zooming down on the flight computer. I could 'slide' left to right or up to down'. I can't figure how to do that with 2024, for everything in it seem to be a rotation from the captain's seat.

This video helped me a ton. I almost had a full successful flight using the AP and ILS approach. The one issue I had was when I was making my approach, while the AP intercepted the ILS and got on the GS successfully, the plane was still way too high and too fast when I was getting close to the runway. I ended up switching off AP and just manually doing a go around and landing manually. I was wondering what I could have done wrong to cause that? Maybe I needed to start my decent sooner, or turn off the auto throttle and try and manage the throttle myself? What do you think? I basically followed your guide step by step, just on a different flight plan.

@@TiJayFLY I was waiting for the plane to slow down using the auto throttle when I initiated the decent on the FMC, but the plane never throttled back and slowed down. I ended up throttling back manually and applying flaps a little hastily to try and get the speed down. I was just wondering what I could have done wrong to make it not decel on its own during the decent. I will try and capture any details that might help you if you need it.

@@TiJayFLY I should say I did apply flaps to slow down, but the airspeed was a little high so I got dinged for that. I am trying to get it to bring down the airspeed before I put down any flaps to avoid the penalty. I am going to try my decent a little sooner. I wasn't paying close attention and initiated decent when I heard ATC say something, not when I reached the TOD marker.

@@TiJayFLY hey bud. ive tried that and it still wont follow rhe plan. ive tried many different steps to make it follow the plan but it still messes me around. i dont do cold and dark. I just like to go to free flight, set origin and destination, pick aircraft, set fuel and then fly. once on the runway i enable vnav, auto throttle, set airspeed, altitude and then take off. once in the air and above 2000ft, i enable autopilot and it doesnt adjust heading / speed / altitude.

@@TiJayFLY Probably the LNAV is buggy because I did some tests only once it tracked my route and the rest was that the autopilot wanted to turn but the rudder did not respond and I could not even turn off the LNAV later and it was buggy

Helped a lot, do you know how to adjust the programed speeds? It is always set at 250 until I hit 10k and I always get hit with Fl100 over speed since it always pushes itself just over. I have to keep flaps at 1 till then because it sets speed at 245

@@mlfd8730 it should never overspeed in a managed climb. You can override the speed by hitting SPD and dialling in your desired speed, but this shouldn’t ever be necessary. totally offtopic but seeing you go trought the process reminded me: the cockpit alarms/sounds are a little low on my sim, even lower without a headset. does the Boeing have a knob that turns up alarm sounds? did asobo even modeled that? im guessing i maybe have to turn that up in settings

I didn't have any sounds on the 737 at all, so you're one step ahead of me! There is a "headphone simulation" option in the sound settings that makes the cockpit sounds a lot quieter - check you don't have that switched on.

​@@RoverAirlines The TOGA button is on the thrust levers by the grips. NOT on the sides of them, but rather, before them a bit. Go to 4:13 and pause to see them. It's a small, black button. They are sandwiched between the AT disconnect button and what I guess you could call the 'swivel' point at the base of the reverse thrust levers on the thrust levers. Hope this helps!
