Wow, hard to believe even with a tutorial as good as this one, how to set the trim setting wasn't mentioned -- especially since so many inquiries about it.

Noticed one small issue during the startup sequence. It's hard to explain through text, but the arc on the ITT gauge shouldn't be full length until after the start cuts out around 55% N2. Prior to that point the arc should be about 3/4 length. I believe this is because the max limit on ITT (the red part of the gauge) is lower during startup. It's a very minor thing, but seeing the arc extend to it's full length is how we usually determine when the engine start is complete. Just thought I'd point it out!

I also noticed on ED1 the the flaps moved before the slats. Not the case in the real bird. I’m looking forward to Aerosoft polishing this airplane. It looks to have great potential.

We operate the airplane much different here in the states. We taxi out on #2 with the APU shutdown and crossbleed #1 roughly 2 minutes from takeoff.

Thanks for the quick turnaround producing these tutorial videos. I noticed that starting with this Episode 6 Closed Captions/Subtitles are no longer available. Would it be possible to make sure Subtitles are available for this one and the remaining tutorials. My old ears are not as efficient as they once were (too many hours of droning engines).

Looks great! the real 700/900 does not have that OB Spoiler Caution, and it does not have fuel flow before you introduce fuel flow (Which would make sense). Hope they fix those bugs.

I haven't seen the "FUEL FEED CHECK VALVE TEST" during engines start, this procedure should do on first flight of the day, is simulated in this crj? The others isn't

Seems you have actually improved the engine start sequence from the P3D version. One gripe I still have with this is only having the EFB on the captain's side. Not only does it look a bit "strange" but for those who would like to fly from the right seat or possibly do shared cockpit in the future it kind of limits the options and immersion from that side of the cockpit.

In case you have an engine failure, elec failure, or anything that request the start of the APU or the APU to be an extra generator in any emergency, it is already on. Take off until FL100 is considered a crucial phase of flight, where pilots are busy doing checklist, comunication, take off procedures and other stuff. The APU being on already in case of an emergency will save you time and reduce workload. This is kindda standard procedure in JET operations

When you turn on the APU, the air conditioning becomes the APU's burden, increasing engine power.

@@flightsimguy2595 This isn't standard procedure for the CRJ, at least at my airline. You would only leave the APU on for takeoff if it was required for takeoff performance. Otherwise you shut it down after engine startup.

@@gumball20000 that’s not attached to an airplane. That’s more of a company SOP. The manufacturer SOP can recommend you do the way you just said, but the companies can amend that and suit their needs with their own procedures

Why manual xflow instead of auto?

Prevent large fuel imbalances. As you taxi the fuel moves around and you can end up in a situation where the auto crossflow pump moves too much fuel to one wing or the other and then you have to stop and wait for it to figure it out. Could delay takeoff for a few minutes depending on how big the imbalance is.
