In today’s video I will showcase some great multiplayer flying as well as discuss the possibility of virtual jet lag in Microsoft Flight Simulator! I have been enjoying some really amazing flying in VR using the HP Reverb G2 lately.
I have actually reverted back to SU9, which can be done by reselecting the non-beta version of the sim in Steam. The reason I reverted is because I want to run the sim in its current version again until the full SU10 is released in mid September.

I did the VATSIM Cross-the-Pond event this year in VR with X-Plane in the SSG 747-800 from Dublin to Philadelphia... it was epic! But it was an all-day event and wow was I tired after it was all done. I actually did the cold-dark startup, takeoff and cruise all the way until I got on with Shanwick Oceanic control for the crossing.... then I popped out of VR for the crossing on the NAT track... monitored the flight from my 2d monitor then popped back in to VR once I got close to Gander. Then did the rest of the flight to KPHL in VR again. I think it was close to four hours total in VR. It was incredible and I'll do it again for the next CTP, but in MSFS. I didn't record that flight, but last night I did record a flight from Charlotte to Philadelphia on a busy VASTIM event where I got a hold that made the flight stretch into about three hours... I was pretty wiped out after that one. Fun, but tiring!

Nice. Do you think the MB-339 is still a "GOOD" release in 2022? I have been flying the Hawk and trying to like it.. but thinking something more maneuverable would be better.

My longest flight was about 3.5 hours. It went by fast because I fly VFR. And pick out a route with a lot of cities and points of interest. I only use auto pilot when I am close to the city or POI. Then I have my drone camera set to my Xbox controller. I will pop out of the plain and visit the areas in the drone. If you stop moving in the drone it will continue to move with the plan. It is a cool way to go sight seeing. When I am finished , I pop back in the plain take it off auto pilot and continue to fly using HONEYCOMB, ALPHA and BRAVO. No jet lag just a big old smile:-)

Nice lighting in the environment you were flying in. Think my longest flight would have been just under two hours or so. My head starts heating up pretty much during such a long time in the headset. Hopefully there are some new ‘affordable’ options in headsets in the near future with built in ventilation to cool down the screens. I think this is the only downside I experience these days. Quality, clarity and performance are actually pretty good. It can always be better, sure. Hope the SU 10 is not going to disappoint in September and hope we can have a community flight soon again Chris, would love that

My longest was around 2 hours, anything more than that i tend to fall sleep. 😆 Specially if its a commercial flight above 30k feet.

There is no requirement for openXr.
