In today’s video we are going to check out another interesting product called Traffic in Sight by SouthOakCo. This add-on brings so much realism to the sim - unique and exciting low altitude traffic awaits your keen eyes and skilled piloting ability!
In real world flying, the skies are filled with traffic hazards. It is very common for air traffic control to not be in radio contact with many of these traffic factors. It is up to you, as the pilot, to visually acquire the traffic and avoid a collision. Add a unique challenge and increase your immersive simulator experience by using Traffic in Sight!

Funny thing is, just an hour ago I was flying a 350I over the skyline in NY, at night of course, and while flying in the less dense part of Manhattan (in between the location of the Empire State Building and freedom tower) I saw a spotlight shining down on a building, and since I just got the emergency lights add on, I thought it was some lights coming from the ground. Next thing I know, the second I look up, THERES A F###### HELICOPTER ABOUT 2 METERS ABOVE MY ALTITUDE ABOUT TO CROSS MY FLIGHT PATH. I had no time to act and I flew right below it. I will admit that I broke the rules by paying more attention to the buildings below then the skies ahead. But it’s still partially the helicopter’s fault for doing the same.

Hey, this is very important....please respond. It seems I stumbled across something. What is your active resolution under (right click. Advanced display?) Not your desktop resolution but your active output resolution? I ask because once your hdmi is connected it locks your max output resolution and its insufficient by far. Made a custom resolution of 4094 x 2880 and I'm in love. I was basically upscaling from a base of 720 to 4k. Now I'm getting more headroom on my gpu because it's not upscaling as hard from a low resolution. Drove me crazy pushing the resolution in game on msfs2020 only making it perform worse and look worse. I'm blown away. I hate saying it. But this makes all your videos obsolete. Still appreciate you tho. Hit me up if you wanna do a video on it and I'll walk you through it. Quest 2 btw. Wow. Finally. Going from 3040 x 2160 to 4094 x 2880 is a game changer in active signal resolution. Not nvidia cp or in game or virtual desktop or oculus resolution slider. It's a setting in windows where it limits you internal resolution based on your monitor.

@@PIEINTHESKYTOURS goddin said we wont see much improvement and pushing your resolution past 2560 x 1440 looks worse. As in, that's about as high as you want to go...I asked about VR launcher resolution sliders and he refused to answer those questions. It wasnt me lol. I was being super nice and appreciative. I still say down scaling is better than upscaling. But the barrel lenses seems to maybe change a lot of those concepts.

This needs a global version. Not sure why developer is making this region specific, when ideally you would want these to originate based on where you are flying, like AI with AI traffic addons FSLTL and AiG

He is creating more regions, however, it will take lots of time before the whole world has been covered...

@@bstikkel Understandable, but dont think that is the right approach. these objects should be programmable to appear, based on where the user is flying, similar to how AI Traffic works today. Recent updates to Sdk allows for objects to be algoritmically placed based on user location

one thing that bugs me in MSFS is the lack of a collision system. Watching a fuel truck drive through my plane when I am on the ground, is totally an immersion breaker. Not sure why this ad on made me think of that.
