This is by far the best turorial on setting up the Bravo in MSFS 2024! I really appreciate your effort and determination. It's a shame that good quality documentation is not done by the manufacturers any more. It's done by enthusiasts like you. Thank you! I fiddled around quite a bit in the last few days and found out that indeed there are still so many bugs and inconsistencies between planes. I really like the new C208. But as a standard plane, it's probably dumbed down for the console crowd. Therefore the mixture instead of condition axis 😕

I’m looking forward to the one you have planned for the VelocityOne Flight controller which of course has both the vernier and lever controls on the throttle quadrant. I’ve already bound a few types of planes in MSFS 2024 based largely on your MSFS2020 tutorials, but it will be great to have your take on how to do it in MSFS 2024. I am actually quite a fan of the new system because once set up there will be no need to think about the correct profile to use after switching plane types, like we had to do with 2020.

Thanks again Mark, great help. I did some experimenting and noticed that with the toggle switches, assigning "on" and "off" makes the switches react significantly quicker in the sim than with the "set" command, just an observation 😉

Mark, If you read the description to the right, you’ll see the difference between the two “PROPELLER IDLE” commands. The upper one is for ALL engines. The lower one is for Engine 1 only. Selecting the upper command will be problematic if you have multiple engines. Jump to 19:40 in the video and you’ll see difference.

Hi Mark, referring the the section on the condition lever sensitivity (22:05), if you haven't found the workaround yet, i believe i have found a way to set up for the condition lever to work as it should in the C208 and potentially most other turboprop aircraft. step 1 set the "Condition Lever axis" to the axis you prefer on the bravo. step 2 set the axis to be inverted. step 3 go into the curve editor and set the "Neutral" slider to -1 and the "Dead zone" slider to 0.05. step 4 bind "Condition Lever Cut Off" to the detent button of the lever on the bravo. This now should operate the axis of the condition lever to switch between high idle and low idle, and only cutting off fuel supply to the engine when the lever is pushed into the cut off detent. enjoy!

What ALL yokes, especially for prop aeroplanes, need is a 'shaker'. Haptic device accepting signals from audio output. I have a base-shaker under my seat that is driven by a 30W amplifier. The second channel ( the other speaker ) goes to a 25W 2" diameter surface shaker screwed under the yoke. This does 2 things. Feeling of vibration. Provides a 'non-stick' movement of the axis travelways, enabling fluid movement of Pitch.

Thanks for you help Mark. I used this tutorial to set up my prop aircraft but I have a Bravo throttle issue using the Cessna 172. I'm getting throttle "jump" from the 15 to 2700 rpm area and the ramp from 0 is not smooth either. Works fine on Airbus etc. Stymied.

For the cessna 172 I had issues with the avionics switches on the bravo but i found a workaround by setting the switches to electrical bus 1/2 to avionics bus 1/2 respectively

@@knightshadow1894 the reason I said do buttons first is you may not want to set up individually for each aircraft. Most are common for GA. For Airliners you may want a completely different configuration. You can change it to suit your requirements. My config has an emphasis on keeping it simple.

excellent instruction. In my case none of the profiles followed to like-aircraft. When switching aircraft all profiles came up as "none". May be a bug or user error... not sure

Hi Mark, that was an absolutely brilliant video, so professionally done and well thought out and extremely helpful. Do you think you may bring one out in the future for two engine and four engine jet aircraft possibly? Obviously these are very time-consuming to make, so maybe sometime in the future. My problem: Under the Caravan propeller settings you show a joystick button controller assignment for Decrease Propeller 1 Pitch, I have nothing assigned and have looked back several times in the guide and see no reference to that particular function? Have I missed something? What controller should I assign the the function?

Mark: As always, another very useful instructional video. I was doing fine following along until you got to the Caravan. Your directions upended my plan to just create the same profile and bindings I had for the Caravan in MSFS2020. So, how in the world did you find out about the new commands?!? I ask because, even though I can "borrow" what you did for the Caravan, and even adapt those for the some of the twin turboprops, now I have no clue on how to set up the TBM's and the PC-12 since they have rather unusual configurations. Also, have you ever tried to set up the new Cessna 408 Courier? I could never get the condition levers to work with either my Bravo, or even using 2020 keyboard commands assigned to the mixtures. I have no clue if I am doing something wrong, or its another "bug". Thanks again!

I must be missing something and it's making me feel crazy... When I try to bind a switch on the Bravo, it still says 'scanning' after the first button press bind. Then it just says scanning canceled when i try to move away. I can't get ANYTHING to work both on and off. Something has to be glitched here...? I can turn the fuel pump on, but not off, or vice versa. How frustrating that it's this difficult to bind keys in this new version 😔

Mark did a separate profile for the ATR back in 2020. It's really good, check it out and apply the same logic to 2024.

It is not possible via the sim but sharing profiles with other simmers via Excel spreadsheet is something I did in the early days of MSFS2020. I am referring to those spreadsheets a lot now for setting up my bindings, axes and sensitivities in MSFS2024.

Mark I am finding that no custom profiles for the Alpha and Bravo are being linked to any aircraft. I set them up after choosing say the 152, create duplicates for general and airplane as required. Save them and even press the use as default option. As soon as I restart the sim the 152, 172, 737 etc all resort to using the default profile. I have to always go into the controls and manually select the correct profile (which still shows as having the default option enabled). Why on earth are they not linking to the aircraft? Even if I do a test and select use on all aircraft its the same problem. Windows and the sim have been completely reinstalled a couple of days ago and it did not help. No response to my post on the matter on the official forums

But using a high spec PC and Win 11 for quite awhile and after several FS and Win updates, I can no longer get the lights to function at all. I have tried every suggestion off every simulator forum off the internet and still no joy. I have asked for technical support from the manufacturer and get nothing but an automated message confirming receipt of my request. So, I have now lost patience with this and removed it from my system. I can honestly say, the mechanical features are fantastic however, without the lights, on a serious sim like mine, it's worthless!
