Great video as always. I was searching for a review of G2412 from sometime. There aren't any detailed reviews which compare this monitor to its competitors. In my country India, G2412 and its twin G2422 are being sold for 110usd whereas EX240 and Koorui are priced at 165usd, so they are out of budget. The closest in pricing we have is Gigabyte G24F and G24F2 that too sitting at around 150usd. Seeing this review cleared my doubts and I think at 110 USD this is an absolute deal considering the lack of options in this range. Edit/Update - Got my G2412 delivered today from amazon.

I actually wanted to buy this monitor because it's the cheapest one I could find in my country but I read that it also has a high minimum brightness like the previous msi monitors which is a big no for me since I prefer my room to be dark. Instead I bought the vg249q because of you recommendation even though it's older and 50% more expensive than the g2412. I previously bought a 1440p monitor but had to sell it and go back to 1080p because 1080p media looked bad on it. You're the only monitor reviewer I know who tests the minimum brightness of monitors so thanks a lot for that!

Is 1440p a big improvement over 1080p? I'm considering getting 1440p, as there aren't many good budget 1080p monitors out there, unless I buy a really high refresh rate 1080p monitor with 240hz refresh rate or higher. But those monitors are priced really close to good budget 1440p options like the Gigabyte M27Q in my country. If 1080p videos really looks much worse in 1440p, then maybe I should just stick with 1080p.

@@belthazar71571440p text quality was a huge improvement over 1080p, in 1080p text looks jaggy but 1440p it looks crisp. 1080p media will look blurry and I didn't see any big difference in gaming aside from the fps drop.

As Russian i bought this monitor 1.5 monhts ago at 150-170$ and it's worth every single ruble for me.After playing at 60hz shitty crappy tv monitor it feels soo good.Also it's the cheapest 144(to 170)hz in Russia (at lest for 1.5 month ago period of time).

@@hasnainahmed7406 not at all.Also u can use different profiles to make picture comfortable for you.Only downside is that tried to get better saturation of picture but couldn’t find any settings for this.Only switching my screen profile to “racing” helped

It's pretty good for the price, minimal ghosting, colours are slightly off but that's nothing a bit of fiddling can't fix, as long as you don't mind not having an adjustable stand then it's great

I had the old version which is g241 and I would never buy again MSi product. It's not even a year old but it suddenly had a horizontal line and I don't know why it happened at all, LCD defect. Also, the warranty service (in the Philippines) is so bad, I used my MSI warranty, and they let 2 months pass and nothing happened to my monitor at all. As the store said that I bought it in, the MSI had a hard time finding the same monitor, and in the end, they just returned the price of the monitor and reduced 10% from the original price. The unacceptable part is they let me wait 2 months for NOTHING. They do not give updates or anything. However, it's just my experience, this teaches me a lesson to not buy again to them again, they do not value customer service.

Same horrible experience I had with my msi laptop's keyboard paint/color peeling off. I took it to service centre but all I got was "sir your laptop is physically damaged, keyboard paint doesn't peel" my laptop was 13 days old.

They said that the MSI warranty service would void the warranty if it looked like the item's problem was physical damage and not a factory defect. It's the worst warranty service here in my country when it comes to PC components.

Hey techless, i was looking for a monitor, and i have finalized it down to the MSI G244F and the LG-24GN65R. i am leaning towards the LG because it has tilt, vertical and pretty good height adjustability, but has only 99% sRGB compared to the MSI's 122% for almost the same price. which one do you think i should go for? Hey, kannst du bitte den Koorui 27E3QK revieven? QHD, 240hz und IPS ist schon fast zu schön um wahr zu sein für gerade mal bisschen über 300 Euro. Ich finde auf gesammt KZbin ausserhalb vom chinesischen Bereich kein einziges Review zu dem Monitor, trotz über 4k Bewertungen auf Amazon. Edit: Anscheinend sind die Rezensionen auch zu anderen Modellen von Koorui, trotzdem sieht der Monitor laut Datenblatt sehr interessant aus und ich würde nur zu gerne mal ein englisches review über den Monitor sehen.

I got the benq ex240 and my only complaint is the ips glow in the bottom corners, which is only noticeable in dark scenes and I haven't been bothered by it during game play, but I don't know if it's just my monitor or all ex240's. I really would like to see a comparison of the benq ex240 to the LG 24GN60R-B, it has most of the same specs as the LG 24GN600 but for almost the same price as the benq ex240. Although the LG 24GN60R-B does not have an adjustable height and I'm not sure it has speakers, also one less hdmi port. But if it has less ghosting and better image quality, I think it would be worth the trade off.

@@djbrada-m8k I bought 24g2sp model. I'm currently using a nice monitor, and I'm satisfied with it. There's almost no ghosting, it's smooth, and I really like its colors. I'm not sure if it can be considered a downside, but the monitor is quite bright. I use it at 35%, and 50% and above are too bright for me, although it depends on the person, of course.

yes u can and its good when the gane stays at 120 however… when it drops to 100-90 (quite often in endgames and big fights) it feels like 30fps instead go with the samsung g30 its very good my friend has it 🙂

I bought this monitor a couple of days ago and I was really disappointed with its view angles compared to my old samsung monitor which has a TN panel. The image gets very silvery and colours are washed out when I look at the monitor from up top or from the side. Is it normal? The monitor does have that ips glow from bottom corners though

I have both and I like more the msi g2412. Colors: g2412 > 24gn60r Ghosting: 24gn60r > g2412 Contrast: g2412 >>>>24gn60r Lg bad contrast, really bad. for shooters i think its better 24gn60r but i dont like the contrast and i can play very well with msi monitor i dont see any problem.
