VERY nice board, which is to be expected considering its MSI and its a Z-series one. Looks good too, loving the IO panel and the block covering the VRMs. Thanks Mike and Kath

Glad you like it! Hopefully intel pull their collective fingers out of their behinds and figure out the performance issues with the chips

Very nice board indeed...but at $370.00 USD, it's outside my price range. I know that hopefully prices will drop? Thanks for sharing Mike and Lady Kath. Take care guys. Cheers

if intel don't fix the CPU issues as promised, these boards might be seeing a huge price drop to clear stock

Wow what a motherboard! So packed with goodies! Love the usb with drivers, the pcie lock makes total sense, those m.2 pins are great idea instead tiny screws! Mb looks quality and no doubt price reflects this but sadly way out of my price bracket. Thanks for review Mike and Kath 🐈👍

it is a big investment and without knowing intels plans for the socket and longevity it could be a costly mistake, they need more transparency, but that isn't MSI's fault

Good review again Mike.I like the look of the board,even though I am intel and MSi only fan.l would be interested in buying it if intel sort the processor out to do that board justice.Thank you for sharing the video Mike and Kath 👏👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yeah seems the board manufacturers have done all their side of the story and it just leaves intel to figure out how best to complete the puzzle

What a lovey board, i like MSI motherboards, my grandson has my old MSI mpg x570 pro carbon wi-fi based system, Beyond my means, but thats not the fault of MSI lol.

yeah they do know how to cram a load of tech into a board

If i was doing a Core Ultra build honestly this would be the board I would go for. Very nice. I thought four M.2s on my Z790 AORUS ELITE was a lot... Now it's Five... 😂 My new year's resolution is to finally be rid of all mechanical drives in my builds. 🤟

i am lucky that only my NAS has mechanical drives now

I have heard that msi mobos take a lot of time to boot. Is that still the case or have things changed ? I was planning to go for an msi pro b650 s wifi mobo. should i go for something else simillarly priced?
@mikesunboxingАй бұрын
no that is sorted now with the newer bios version
@OlettaLianoАй бұрын
Very nice looking MSI motherboard. What would be a comparable Ryzen version of this?
@mikesunboxingАй бұрын
the X870E Edge Ti or the Carbon if you like a darker looking board
@OlettaLianoАй бұрын
@@mikesunboxing The Carbon looks nice, but it's $500... I guess it's made out of gold or something.

The two 8 pin CPU power connectors should now be more accessible when you use an air cooler.
@mikesunboxingАй бұрын
yeah that is true, but will need the case to also have large enough cutouts in that area, and i'm sure some wont
@zingwilder998925 күн бұрын
Possibly, the next generation of the Intel Ultra CPUs will be worthwhile for it to be paired with? Moreover, the price will probably drop a bit.
@mikesunboxing25 күн бұрын
lets hope so

Those CPUs arent exactly leaping off the shelves :) Nice mobo though.
@mikesunboxingАй бұрын
yeah there needs to be either a performance bump or a big price drop

good review, terible board. It is NOT premium at any aspect.
@mikesunboxingАй бұрын
how do you come to that conclusion? i am genuinely interested in your thoughts on that
@level80888Ай бұрын
@@mikesunboxing easy. Meg Ace is "real" premium: - 24 phase VRM (not 20 or 16) - 110A mosfets (not 60 or 90) - backplate - debug lcd - dual bios - 8 layers PCB - 10gbe nic (not 5 or 2.5 junk) - all 10gbit usb on rear IO - etc You will not find a better equipped mobo for z890. Not Hero, not Taichi come close. And they cost more. Edge, in other hand, is typical low-mid range mobo.
