A piece of advice, I hope that you know personally the people that you visiting in different provinces of the country, you should not be complacent going to one place to another, there are people that will show you good things but the truth is they are bad people, especially you are a woman and you have two children with you.. Always check who you can really trust. And carry something that can protect you and your kids.

When I was young we used to chop the kamias fruits into small pieces, mixed in bagoong or alamang, chopped onion and tomato. It goes well with fried fish or meat, porkchop and off course newly-cooked rice.

Kamias fruits are sometimes made into kamias candies. Kamias can also be used in sinigang especially on fish. Just cut up kamias, tomatoes and onion then put it in boiling water. Let it simmer for a few minutes add the fish add young kamote tops or kangkong leaves. To taste, add patis or salt.

BTW Kamias, is the most sour fruit in the Philippines. 🙂 You can dip it in sugar to lessen the sourness ore salt to neutralize the sourness. Some cook Kamias in sugar and sweetened them. I`t delicious!. Hope you can find and try that one too 🙂. Try to ask locals there.

You should make Luzon your home base, Jelena. If you want close to the beach La Union and Bataan will offer that for you. You will be a little closer to Susie and Baylosis without having to take a plane or ferry to see them..
