Have you ever seen one get bought by some zealous investor who just knows they can revive it, and make it great again? Based on all the things he tried to do the first time around, which the only reason he didn't carry through was because there were guardrails that stopped him. Now those guardrails are largely gone. So please tell me why you would think for even a moment that he isn't serious about all of it - even the 51st State comments? Now I'm not suggesting he would succeed in any of it - just that unless someone stops him, he really does intend to do what he says he wants to do. Now, much of it I think the people around him who advise him will be working on changing his mind over and hopefully they will succeed - but unless his advisers are able to hold him back - it is frankly stupid to think that Trump is not really wanting to do all of it - his first term proves it.
