The Holy Face of Manoppello is the greatest relic left for us upon Jesus resurrection (as mentioned by St. Pio). The Holy Image is not painted and has been researched thoroughly by Author Paul Badde (to mention one, amonghts others, i.e. Sr. Blandina). Jesus imprinted HIS Face in the Sacred Cloth that covered His Face on His burial. Pls. read Author Paul Badde's book: The Face of God.

"Veronica" is not a Jewish name. It is a conflation of the Latin words "vera" and "iconica." The Byzantine iconographers painted icons of the Mandylion, some of which were exported to the West as "vera iconica" or "true icons." They could be described by those words because the iconographers had been able to touch their newly painted icon to the original scene, the Mandylion. Also making its way to the West was the Byzantine invention of how the Mandylion had been created: a woman had offered a cloth to wipe Jesus' face as he carried his cross. The western populace conflated the Latin words vera and iconica into the name, Veronica, and regarded their Byzantine icons as the original cloth that had been allegedly imprinted with Jesus' likeness. The Manoppello image does not have the style of a Byzantine icon and looks more like a European painting of Jesus. It was probably based on a Byzantine icon of the Mandylion. If it was actually a miraculous imprint of Jesus' face as he carried his cross, it would show the wounds and blood from his scalp injuries as well as the bruise on his right cheek. It's amazing how little you know about the truth. Your heart is closed for this amazing image. Scientist did not find painting on this image. It was crated on top of the shroud of turin in the tumb of Jesus during his resurrection. It'sshows the same face like on the shroud -compare it!

Whether it is the face of God or not does not interest me. What I'm curious about is that it's supposed to be the same face as is seen in the Shroud of Turin, and yet, the two faces do not seem similar at all. What is your explanation for that?

I am one of the people that REALLY want this to be real but my mom made a good point. In the "real" one in manoppello, it kind of looks like it shows his teeth. She said that no cloth made from anything would be able to capture teeth and facial hair (like eyelashes and eyebrows) along with the face unless it had been pushed down for a long period of time and the image shows Jesus with his eyes open so I doubt any of his friends, family, or followers, would do that to him. Like I said, I REALLY want this to be real but after what she said (and she is very smart about these kind of things). I know it might "just" be "god magic" (magic only gods can use) and he somehow did that so they'd always have something of him. But speaking in human terms, it might be impossible that it's his "death mask". And speaking of getting the knowledge out, did you guys know that in a mountain in Turkey, there is a MASSIVE "formation" of a HULL-like shape and there is even fossilized wood found all around the area...now what do you think that could be... (yes, even some smart scientists are saying its what you are most likely thinking it is)?

Your mum was right in stating that under the display light it shows his teeth. The explanation we were given was at Manopello was at the resurrection he uttered his first word, which was 'Abba'. I believe the book of St. Catherine Emmerich shed a lot of truth in this.😇

It has no eyelashes, nor lip folds below the nose. The teeth are worn and the mouth is disproportionately small. The irises in the eyes have no striations or banding details, as you would expect in real eyes. It is too reminiscent of an Italian or Dutch painting style to to be a photorealistic rendition done in a metaphysical exposure. In fact, the composition looks as if it could have been drawn by a 13 year old. I know, I know, the image has some interesting properties in the cloth, like visible only when backlit. So? An image could have been screen dyed into the cloth from a tattooed material and the surface dye removed using solvents, so that the dye shows only when light is transmitted through the innermost fibers. The relic is now revered to the extent that it is not a likely candidate for modern forensic examination. Jesus was not a European of Dutch descent - that’s not Him.

Th carbon dating of th SoT was not flawed. From .badarcheology.com The Shroud of Turin Blog says that “[c]otton isn’t the contaminant here. It suggests the possibility of other contaminants”, which is a bit of a red herring. Cotton has been blamed for potentially contaminating the sample and as evidence that the piece removed for testing was part of a repair. The Shroud of Turin Blog’s author has made the a priori assumption that there must be contamination of the sample because he doesn’t want to accept the date provided by the laboratories. Bringing up “[m]adder root dye, aluminum products [and] gum” is not an answer. Ray Rogers found these materials (one of which is a pigment, incidentally, something that the Shroud of Turin Blog denies is present on the Shroud!) in two thread samples that were said to have been left over from those submitted for radiocarbon dating whist claiming that they are not present on the rest of the Shroud. They are. Perhaps the alleged contamination is a result of manual handling over the centuries. Still, no matter what the source of contamination, it would have to be in the order of 67% modern material causing the contamination. Make it cotton from sixteenth-century repairs and the proportion of contaminated to original material would have to increase at a geometric rate. The idea that the samples were contaminated is simply not credible unless one assumes massive incompetence at all three radiocarbon laboratories, the same degree of contamination in all three samples and the same inability to remove any of the contaminants. This is just silly.

According to Mosaic law (regardless what Paul may hav said or meant), Jesus would hav had short hair. which was required for Levites AND was th custom for everyone else (except Nazarite's). But th shrouds hair is not only v. long, it is amazingly well coifed (considering all tussling n mussing it must hav gone thru on a real shroud person) AND hangs down, nicely, as if on a man standing. Rev. 9:8, describes a horde of locusts coming out of th abyss w/th faces of men, long hair like WOMEN and teeth like lions (th better tear u apart if u r not one of them) to torment th world.
