The Manoppello image is a medieval European painting on a transparent fabric. It may have been based on a Mandylion icon. "Veronica" is not a jewish name, and is most likely a conflation of the Latin words, "vera" and "iconica" which were used to describe icons of the Mandylion. The Byzantines invented a story to explain the origin of the Mandylion, and they included that story along with their vera iconica exports to the West. The legend of Veronica's Veil is not found in Scripture and only appeared in the 11th century. However, it has become so ingrained in Catholic culture that, even though the learned know that it is not true, it cannot be removed from Station Six of the Stations of the Cross.

If you take a copy of the image and bend it as if you are wrapping around a milkshake cup the face takes on a normal appearance and it was bent around the face when the cloth was laid over the face. You see the broken cheekbone beneathe his right eye and the plucked beard and moustache.

The left image has similarities to the shroud image. The right looks like a bad medieval painting. Does not look like a real face. Sorry Jesus if I'm wrong about that. But compare to the face on the shroud.

No..Jesus' face doesn't look like that...I saw the Lord many times with my naked eye...I have a 3rd eye...one day, after I prayed before I took my lunch, He appeared infront of me and since I was holding my phone that moment, I took a picture of Him..I love Jesus He has a gentle voice and when I pray, there's always an answer.😇🦋

The Veil contains NO traces on any sort of paint, any pigment whatsoever - this is confirmed by scientific analyses, so obviously cannot be "painted". This info can easily be checked in books and on the Internet, so please spend 2-3 minutes before you open your mouth, otherwise you make a simple fool out of yourself.

Here is my well çonsidered opinion about the origin of the face of Jesus on this veil: plausibly, it is the imprint produced by the risen Jesus (at God's right hand) on the plain material of this veil when this veil was placed over the imprint of the crucified face of Jesus on His burial shroud, the sindona (now in Turin) in the presence of King Agbar of Edessa to show him that the burial shroud of Jesus, the sindona, brought to him by Jesus's disciple was indeed his burial shroud, and expressing the immeasurable suffering of excruciating passion on the imprint of his holy face on this veil from his holy shroud for King Agbar and his people to see and cherish as a perpetual remembrance and as a gift in fulilment of the promise made to him through his emissary during his public ministry before his holy passion for the redemption and salvation of all those who come to which clearly included King Agbar and his people who had already believed in him even before his passion. This not the cloth spoken of in st.John's gospel according to there was (unlike the face cloth of lazar)no face cloth on the face of Jesus. St John speaks of the cloth which was the head of Jesus wrapped and kept apart, not coth on the face of Jesus. This print of the sufferings face of Jesus on this veil from the print of Jesus's on the shroud has resulted from the divine self manifesting of the Son of God Jesus Christ just like the imprint of of Lady on the tilma of Juan of Guadalupe resulted from the divine act of the same Son of God whose Virgin Mother she became in the mystery of his incarnation not simply for the human race in general but also for the Aztec Indians of Mexico and the Americas in particular. I have at this conclusion about the truth of the face of the sufferings on this cloth by making a comparative study of all the painted images of Edessa related to this image and pondering over similarities and dissimilarities for many days.

Here what Christ looks like to me , first write in google Jesus face then choose click on image title up you will find many images the one in which looks or close to one i saw is in the top row and the third one from left. The difference between the beard and head hair are a little darker compared to this and head hair lay on the top of his shoulder and the beard not as it looks like this not triangle in front , I can say over 80% similarity

Before you start making a complete fool out of yourself go and try getting some knowledge of the subject matter, i.e. read books, watch documentaries, listen to what scientists say. Just to encourage you: the Veil is made out of a material that CANNOT be painted and indeed contains no traces of paint, no pigment. Second, the thickness (or thinness in fact) of the fabric is such that even today it cannot be reproduced with all this wonderful human technology or ours. So much for the beginning, the rest you may find by yourself.
