Lettuce TRIVIA 😂😂 For a very short number of years (1880s?), the valley of Beaver Creek (major ski area now), Colorado, became a boomtown for lettuce growing and shipping on the new railroads. Why? Because they could pack it in the ice or snow that was found farther upvalley, south of the ski area today. Knowing this reminds me of Raymond Massey and James Dean in "East of Eden" ❤❤❤ Short duration, because it didn't take too much longer to invent "Refrigerated railroad cars"

This is gonna be another controversial opinion, but I unironically like this movie. The characters are likable, the story is well paced and it's satisfying to see a happy ending that felt earned on MST3K. Yeah, Jimmy is a compulsive liar..... but I don't blame him. Yeah, Jimmy is stupid.... but that's because he had no authority figures in his life that could teach him common sense. But honestly, compared to other films on MST3K, this was kind of nice. And, as always, Joel and the Bots were hysterical.

1:28:00 I've never heard of that before, or since. Does anyone know any details? Was this a propaganda film? The message to Parents, looking after their Children better? It DOESN'T seem like a war time message. In the classes I've taken, in regards to propaganda, these were not the kind of message to give the boy's who had entered the war. I'm not sure what year the film was made, or why they would send it somewhere, during an ongoing war. The parents were not bringing their kids in to a war zone and the young teens were not asking Mom and Dad's permission, to go and die in Europe. The visual alone is ridiculous. Maybe The Producers got a tax break if they donated a movie that was just sitting on a shelf? Considering the 'shorts' This is not a long movie, or there is a bunch of footage, that was cut out. Like I said. I'm just looking for a rabbitt hole to jump into and then 'go ask Alice's who her best dealer is! This will sound late, (because) it is but this is a pretty good movie and a fantastic Riff. Include the short bumpers and it's easily a top 10 of the Joel era. Cheers to all, unless you are trying to Quit. Good luck and use a variation on what helped me quit smoking 12 years ago. A B C was my tenet. It stood for Anything But Cigarettes, (Or a more damaging substance.) Any food, skies the limit. I always carried tooth picks. I vaped at the start. ABC but I got away after 2 years and held the toothpick, like a cig. For drinking it's harder but ABA. Stay away frombars and do anything else you want. If you smoke, don't ever try 2 at ounce. That goes with any substance. Hence, the Anything but, way of looking at it In my opinion. It's the same as training dogs. Always one cat a time. Guess How I learned that? Take care and if anything goes wrong,, BLAME YOUR PARENTS, A LOT!!! I should know. I'm a Human male.
