", I did *_not_* imply anything towards keeping collision to normaly unreachable objects at all. Instead, I was trying to convey the message that, *_Yes_* , you are correct, you can actually physically interact with numerous objects, despite the fact that they should be normally out of reach. You were simply pointing out the exact point that the initial comment has already made aswell, to which I responded to your response in the first place. Also, if an object has collision or not, can be easily changed within Hammer (Level Design Tool) with just two to three clicks. No coding-experience required *_at all_* . *:^)*

To me, Valve may have intended this? The props and lack of collision on parts of the wall, and the sloped parts used to go down and up when flying seem too perfectly located for this to all be coincidence.... Maybe Valve knew this might happen and left it in a fun way to enable speedrunning?

Nah, no chance. Encountering this glitch then getting stuck floating on the ceiling would be a bad casual experience. Sloped geometries are just good for aesthetics. Leaving out collision on a wall is easier than programming the collision to go away when the player is a certain distance, especially when they're moving quickly (from the launch pad). Plus the player is never expected to reach that part of the wall unless they're travelling through it, so might as well leave collision out.

It was a known unintended side effect of the tunnels. That is why GladOS never used the tunnels with Chell, and why Wheatly, an AI designed to be a moron, used them anyway.
