Amazing sunrise and beautiful landscapes generally. Given how relatively non-technical the hike looked, it seems surprising that no one else was apparently around (even though it was cold) - the world to yourselves!
@LiveHardxLoveHard3 күн бұрын
It was wonderful, Catherine! As you suspected, this was definitely not one of those climbs where we see no other people the whole day. But fortunately it was spread out enough that we were able to take our time and have a comfortable distance from other hikers. Whenever we do encounter a bottleneck on a hike like this we've learned just to go off trail over to the ridge line, where the hiking is generally harder but the visuals are more spectacular. We'll take that trade any day! ❤️

@LiveHardxLoveHardКүн бұрын
That’s interesting about sunrises vs sunsets. We’ve seen a lot of both during our adventures, and one thing we’ve noticed about sunrises is that they tend to be more red, like this one. So if you like red skies, sunrises can be pretty incredible!

@@LiveHardxLoveHard Maybe from the city I don't get the same perspective as out in the wild, and at elevation. Maybe elevation is key. Closer to the colors.
@ericnfriedman14 сағат бұрын
Great job y'all! How is it that you seem to get these mountains all to yourselves! Little side note: I know you get people telling you all the time what you could do differently, but I wonder about bringing some more emergency layers like a small sleeping back and maybe a small bivy. All it takes is a little slip up and a badly twisted ankle and you could be waiting hours and hours for an evac. You are no doubt super experienced and capable, but accidents happen and Colorado is unforgiving. Keep being awesome!
@LiveHardxLoveHard13 сағат бұрын
Thanks Eric! Going at off-peak times is really a huge help in terms of it not being crowded. There were still some people on the trail, of course, but we had a lot of space for the most part, and when it got a little more crowded toward the summit we just headed off trail and ascended the ridge line which was more awesome anyway! As for extra layers, we always bring emergency bivvies -- they're not super warm, but would at least keep us totally try and out of the wind chill in any sort of emergency. ❤️

ELISE and ADAM a hello from France. A pretty hike with snowy landscapes, with a bright red sunrise that could have been painted by a painter I appreciate for his many explanatory videos, Bob ROSS who died in 1995. ADAM do you know him, or ELISE do you know him? I repeat myself, I particularly like these videos that highlight ELISE's voice and the lyrics of her songs. This time ADAM, ELISE did not spare you, but always with kindness. Kisses to you both. DAN
