Great video, thanks for doing this! We are going in about a month on the Lemosho route and this is good to have an idea of what to expect. Thanks again!

Amazing documentary, I am thinking of climbing Kilimanjaro in 2022 on this route, Is there anything you would recommend taking that is not specified on the gear list?

ChubsTheSeaLion thank for watching! It’s something you definitely won’t regret doing! As far other items bring... I’d consider a blister kit for your feet (just in case), some sugary snacks you like, and dextrose (or similar) tabs for energy. Wish you all the best in planning and the journey ahead 👍🏼👍🏼

Looks awesome guys! 8 days is a long trek! We’d love to do it someday 😁 Did you shoot a lot of this on a GoPro?

Thank you guys! It was a long journey, but well worth it. Yes this was primarily GoPro with some iPhone and Snapchat Spectacles.

Did you guys take Diamox?
@humbleandfree21255 жыл бұрын
The Wilder-side yes we did. I don’t believe we started until day 3 though. We took it as precautionary and never once had any symptoms of altitude sickness. We felt no side effects from the diamox either. Any questions you have feel free ask.

Humble and Free , thank you. I have a really weird question regarding the Diamox. A lot of people say it makes them pee a lot. What do you do on summit night? Also I know it can get really cold and windy, any advice on staying warm. Thanks

The Wilder-side what you have heard is correct it will make you have to pee more frequently. On summit night we all just made sure to pee prior to setting out. On the way up none of us had to pee. I think You are working so hard and the air is so dry that any water you drink just gets pulled right out of you. To stay warm just make sure to layer up!! Wear good snow gloves. Have a balaclava, buff or neck scarf to keep your neck warm. Make sure to wear some thick wool socks with liners too. fresh pair that are completely dry. It’s the extremities that will get cold the fastest. By the time you reach Stella the sun will likely be up and help to warm you up too. Good luck! It’s a great journey take it nice and easy and don’t forget to enjoy it too!
