Thanks for the nice video! How hard is the trail from ropeway to Nihon Dera Temple? Ask for my 70 years old mom, she can walk alot and well but not too much stairs.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Honestly, there are a LOT of stairs.. to the Buddha carved into the mountain, it's not so bad. . But from there the stairs might be a bit tio much. Especially between the cliff edge and the Big Buddha, that's a serious trek of stairs. Maybe the first half of the vid is doable IF you took it slow. I'd rather suggest Kachi Kachi Yama in Kawaguchiko, as it has very few stairs and great views of mt Fuji. I'll post a video with it in soon actually. I hope it can help you decide.

@@Japan-chan Thanks, me and my mom was at kachi kachi ropeway and went to the top. It was not too hard for her. My mom loves to see Daibutsu. I actually shared your video to her. Hopefully she would not find it too hard for her :D

@@pok5555 oh wow you are reals adventurers! I thought that one was a bit more unknown. . She has great taste! I love daibutsus too. There is a famous one in Kamakura, and one in an amazingly massive temple in Nara called Todai-ji. Maybe you've already seen them? But if not, check them out, easy to access too.

Should we just hike down the mountain after checking out Daibutsa instead of rehiking back all the way up for the Ropeway?

Hmm good question. If you take the same route I did then you definitely could. You would also get to see some old mining equipment, more of the mined mountain cliffs, and the surrounding forest trails. It's a good option if you if any of that. It might take a little longer but nothing drastic. However, i should have mentioned in the video that there are a few routes you can take.. Just after the peak, down the stairs and entering the gate, their is a fork in the path. I think this route goes to the daibutsu firat. So you could go that way and avoid the double incline. There are also a few different routes going up, so even if you do double up, there are different things to see. They have maps.. i wish I picked one up 😅
