thanks for the video, very useful for me. I have the same machine under the yard machine brand. I think it is from 1997, it was given to me about 15 yrs ago by a friend who bought a new one. I haven't done much to it besides basic carb service but I wanted to replace the belts this season as they look frayed. can you tell me the part numbers for the drive and auger belts if you know. thanks

I don't know the auger belt because I didn't replace mine but the drive belt was MTD 754-04088.

@@Subariblet all good thanks. I ended up getting lucky and found one OEM at hd. I will say there are alotta adjustments you can make regarding belt deflection most people may notrecognize. Also the friction drive ring is something I never thought would increas drive strength so much just with Brake cleaner. If u pull off the cover underneath.. What a difference . If ya need some tips on something lemme know. Ive literrally broken Mine down and this this is branded differrently in many ways but its all the same design
