I love Massacre Wurm. If you're able to get to it late game without getting destroyed, Massacre Wurm with Syr Conrad the Grim is a crazy combination.

I can't wait to play with Wurm again in paper. A friend opened one in a booster and has promised me first chance at trading for it, adding that to the 2 I already own brings me to 3 :D Now just to actually build a deck to use them. Maybe an Abzan control list in Pioneer?

A lot of professional players work for a card distribution company where they have a card pool of loan cards that they have access to. They do however invest in cards with that they think are sleepers that will become expensive cards in future metas with varying success

@@greytoeimp gishath is a 7/5 i believe, but the best part is haste, trample, and when he hits you reveal the top cards of deck as much as the damage he dealt, and put all dinos revealed on the field instantly. He can be a super explosive in brawl and commander but i suggest checking him out, not sure if i remember exactly what he does

Why would you not run castle if you need card draw.

As a control deck we're less likely to be empty handed, making Castle quite painful (it's also quite the nonbo with Thouhgtseize later in the game). The main reason of course is Cabal Stronghold requiring Swamps.

They're Phyrexian swamps, so the text is in Phyrexian. There's also a quite famous version of the card Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite written in Phyrexian

Idk, a card so powerful that it forces you to play a 6 mana card (triple black, so you can't even splash black to reliably play it) or lose seems like the definition of a card that needs to get banned. I assume you disagree with the Winota ban too, right?

@@ianmckinnon788 wow there are so many cards that can handle FotD. but calling for bannings is always easier than adapting i guess. whats the difference between winota and FotD? the turn winota comes down is mostly the turn you lose. not with FotD but go ahead and keep telling me how wrong i am. plus when fotd gets the axe, the community will cry about the next big baddy....muxus, perhaps ugin. its just a downward spiral and whining will always be easier then actually using brainpower.

@@ianmckinnon788 wow, is this your way of arguing? The "i say the stuff you said and use it as an argument" approach? You don't get to define my statement, i already did that. Some cards need banning, some are just bending the knee to the toxic community and others are just financially motivated. I give you examples. Oko ban is obv. Financial motivated, they knew from the get go that oko was wayto good. But that goodness also sold more boxes, so they waited until the box sells added up. (they waited several tournaments until the ban, wich shows the reasoning, because so many players at tournaments did run oko. Wich also means many many boxes got sold and omo was the go to mythic of this set [cleave and questing beast were also chasers but broken]) Smugglers chopter, winota, marvel, teferi were needed bans because they warped the format around them. You needed to run specific cards to even remotely compete with those cards/decks. Also you were limited in deck construction because those cards just crushed you. Evidences are obv. Just look at the formats where these cards were in at that time. Bend the knee bans, like fotd are motivated because the twitter mob demands it. Big names like the olive or kenobi are making statements and the follower are echoing these statements. But plz look how big and diverse historic is atm. So many things get played and so many things are straight up busted. Wich leads me to my main complaint about this (possible) ban. It is by nature, that you will run into decks, that you simply cannot beat. Its one of the tradeoffs that you accept, when you choose to play bo1. All you can really do is tuning your 60 cards and hope for the best. FotD looses much of uts power in bo3 because every deck has a sideboard full of answers. Blood sun, unmoored ego, MLD cards and the list goes on. If you choose bo1, you have to accept the fact that you cant beat every deck, its pretty simple. And if you play bo3, you have enough tools to adapt to whats hot in the format. So what should they do in my opinion, is the same with nexus of fate and ban it in bo1. It would loose its stigma because it loses power. I hopy this was understandable, english is nit my first language. I also hope you understand my reasoning tho . I dont try to convince anyone here, people yelling at each other on the internet, won't change neither of them. Plus its just my opinion, there is no objective right or wrong, only different perceptions on this topic. Have a great one and sry if i was harsh to you
