That is why the deck plays Dispel and Counterspell. But I guess killing the flicker target will work against less experienced players, at least the first time you use it. Or if they choose not to play around it.

my local paper pauper meta here in the Philippines is filled or rather plagued with MBC before drake was reprinted as common. its funny after 1person brought izzet drake and one with simic tron drake, the meta instantly changed now we see bogles, izzet blitz and other fast explosive decks that were shut down by the MBC meta

Fireball (and Disintegrate, for that matter) have never been printed at common in Magic Online, which is where Pauper sees most play (a lot of IRL Pauper events use the MTGO cardlist as well).

This deck feels amazing but how does it actually play on mtgo? It feels like this takes forever to work because you need to get alot of mana, then start casting compulsive research, flicker two archaeomancers, get flicker and compulsive research back. Cast compulsive research, flicker, rinse and repeat. Could you time out if they dont scoop?

why not add a thermo alchemist? with all the ghostly flickers being cast, i see no reason why not as the burn may help if the milling gets stopped.

What I want them to do is ban ghostly flicker and displace and unban cloud of faeries. Cloud is a perfectly balanced card and I happened to use it just as itself in a delver deck. With flicker and displace gone, the faeries could come back in for what they should be: simple faeries.

Ray Flores When Aether Revolt comes out in January. And the deck is so cheap you don't stand to lose much with a ban. Althoughi suggest picking up a different deck.

If you want to use the deck for grinding leagues quickly on MTGO, you could probably pick up this deck now and still make some money. But I would wait until the next ban announcement. Before the last announcement Drake decks were about 15% of the meta, and now that number's doubled and the Drake has been crowding out a lot of staple decks of the format like Mono Black Control, UB Teachings, UWR Kitty, and RUG Tron. If we thought WotC was going to ban Drake before, they really have to now. I would wait until Drake gets banned, wait till the older decks become popular again, and play one of them.

The slowly killing the format is true. I loved pauper to the point where one of my brews was featured on mtggoldfish but have since stopped playing it since I play online and I play too slow to play Drake in a league but can't justify playing a non Drake deck.

It would be good if you put an annotation in the video or a comment noting that Peregrine Drake was successfully banned making this null and void. Personally, I believe it's because of this video spreading attention about it that the Drake got banned in the first place, so kudos.

I was playing this before it was a thing. ghostly flicker was my favorite utility card in the set it came out in and I ran a variation of this deck when it was standard minus the drake of course and no one wanted to listen to me when I talked about how underrated it was. I run the drake and deadeye navigator in all my edh decks. I don't keep up with current meda of like playing what everyone else if playing so long story short everyone get off my band waggen you can't suddenly decide something is good years after I've been doing it. this is the sneak and tell all over again. even so my original variation is better I don't get any credit for it cuz it's so mainstream now everyone knows about it

Ponder is good at finding specific things. Preordain is smoother at ensuring high quality of draws but worse at looking for specific stuff. Drake has really high average card quality, it just wants to smooth its draws sone.

i am super lucky to play paper pauper at my lgs and you have a big influence there i find it kind of disapointing that you showcase the colectex company deck of pauper. i hope i am incorect but i belive that i will be seing more of this deck in the coming weeks. i love your chanel. but i realy hope that you could maybe research how opresive the decks that you are because not one persone wants pauper netdecking to be a thing if you want to do pauper maybe try something you brewed it is the brewers paradise just please dont promote any broken opresive decks. thanks it would mean alot

I don't understand how the drake + archaeomancer + flicker gets you infinite mana...the drake only lets you untap up to 5 mana...it doesn't actually add mana to your mana pool. I'm confused as fuck
