TheManaSource I'm not quite sure about this, but I don't think tokens actually go to the graveyard. Correct me if I'm wrong.. but that would mean the cleric part if this combo doesn't work. The other one would though, even if this is the case

Tokens do actually go into graveyards and then cease to exist. So the Rotlung Reanimator would trigger.

Since we are talking casual i think some serum visions or preordains would be good since it allows you to dig deeper and search for the combo pieces, also the deck seems more reliable/stable with those included.

I played a variant of this deck about 2 or 3 years ago. I used Xathrid Necromancer in combination with Artifical Evolution to pump up cards like Fallen Angel. Was really fun and this deck seems stronger so I might revisit this madness. ;)

so if you have all of your necromancers and rotlungs, plus both the enchantments, the feeder, and something to sac, you just go infinite with tokens. so you start this combo on an opponents turn and wreck them. i like this

Actually no. This decks doesn't work with Rotlung. Wedge made a mistake. Here's the rule: 110.5f A token that‘s phased out, or that‘s in a zone other than the battlefield, ceases to exist. This is a state-based action; see rule 704. (Note that if a token changes zones, applicable triggered abilities will trigger before the token ceases to exist.) Basically, the token never makes it to the graveyard.

Green Drab You're missing the point. It's only an "applicable" trigger. For example, if it's something that triggers when something leaves the battlefield, then yes, it triggers. However, the token still never makes it to the graveyard, thus Rotlung's trigger is not applicable and thus doesn't work.

From what I’ve read, Xenograft affects the stack (battlefield) and/or, cards coming into play (battlefield). Let’s say I’m playing a Zombie deck with no/zero Bird Zombies or any other Zombie that has “Flying”, and I already have a bunch of Zombies out in play (battlefield) and I play Xenograft. My choice of “creature type” is “Bird”, does this mean all my Zombies now have “Flying” since all Bird creatures have “Flying” as a static ability?… Yes or No? Keep in mind I haven’t seen every Bird card to have ever existed in MTG, but from the plenty I’ve seen, they all had “Flying.”

I prefer the idea of Unlimited Cascade Works for Ydris. Simply put, you set Ydris up to get a enough Cascade triggers on every spell this turn when you smack face with her once (Blade of Selves+Mirror Gallery+Resonator+anything else works GREAT for this)...then you cast Maelstrom Wanderer from your hand and watch the carnage. To quote Despicable Me 2: "I'm sorry, I did not see you there...or there."

Got a question about Rotlung Reanimator. It says: "Whenever Rotlung Reanimator or another cleric is put into the graveyard" are tokens going into the Graveyard or are they getting kind of exiled? I don't know much about mtg, so I was wondering maybe "goes into the Graveyard " is a older term for "Whenever a creature dies"

As far as i know they go to the graveyard, but are exiled as soon as they hit it. (More than exiled tokens disapear into the aether, so they just disapear. That's like this because some mechanics that interactuate with exiled cards) Sorry if i made some mistakes, not fluent in english.

I think it depends on who you're playing with to be honest. To be determined by your friends or your playing group. Some people will let you use cards of any set ever printed...some are okay with ignoring banned/restricted lists...others want you to only use modern cards...etc. etc. It just depends on who you're playing with. I do not believe there are any "official" rules as far as casual goes.

By the very definition of Casual play, there is no set of banned or "in rotation" cards. It's just up to whoever you play with. Heck, you can even make rules like "No Storm" or "Infect must deal 15 damage" and stuff like that, depending on what ticks off the rest of the people in the group. That's what makes casual so dangerous, yet fun, though, because one group will be playing high-school level, with decks that are just slapped together from a few boosters and intro decks from Theros block, while another could be playing with decks banned from modern that have cards from Legacy in them to make them even more powerful. By the same time, that's what's awesome and fun about casual---there's an infinite amount of room to deck build and tweak, with much less pressure than competitive play and no "you can't play those cards" rules. Heck, that lower pressure to win by a given turn or to build within set restrictions and banlists are what can make casual the most fun and engaging format. (Only second, possibly, to casual commander)

It says Creature Cards you own that aren't on the battlefield. Everything else just refers to creatures. It's just saying that one part to cover stuff in your deck/hand/exile/sideboard.

Fligyn I live in a very small town and only have 1 shop around (without taking at least a 2 1/2 hour trip). I've never really enjoyed standard and she (the shop owner) only held modern once a month. She did commander each week though so I decided to give that a try.

***** That's my complaint and problem though. I literally do not know how to just kick back and relax. :( /sigh...I guess there's really nothing I can do maybe. I just need to accept it. But when I find people better than me...and are just as cut throat as me...it can sometimes almost make me high haha. I freaking love that...the intensity, the focus...knowing that the other player is playing nothing but the best and I'm just a mistake away from messing everything up. I LOVE that. I love competitive magic. But most people around here are into casual and just having fun...and I'm left frustrated that I can't fit in. Grrrr Kitchen table magic drives me nuts. Casual 'fun' decks that aren't ruthlessly broken make me insane. I just don't get them and I find myself having no fun playing with or against them. Am I just an a** hole? /end epic rant lol
