Blind Seer does have one thing over most contemporary color changers: It can make your things non-blue in mono-blue. That means it can get around Protection (which was then more common) which things like the Laces can’t do since they can’t make things colors you don’t already have. That’s, of course, more a condemnation of the Laces than anything good on Blind Seer’s front.

Bill Ferny is so confusing. It seems like the card must have been designed to create a horse token when it enters, right? There are only three horses in LTR and LTC, none of which you'd want to give away. When those sets came out, it looks like there was only one card ever that creates horse tokens? (Crested Sunmare) and you don't want to give away a 5/5 for three treasures, either. All the cheap horses you'd want to give away are from like 25 years ago. I have no idea what anyone was meant to do with this card.

Revaka better than it looks imo, obviously it's not a super-strong card but I think there are limited environments where "2 damage every other turn" is a reasonable threat. I personally have an old-border cube with Revaka in it. I think if you imagine an alternate universe where it's a red Amonkhet card that reads "tap, exert: deal 2 damage to any target" you'd go, huh, reasonable filler card for limited. But being a blue homelands card with a bunch of text makes it seem worse than it is. Mistform Ultimus should be on this list (despite having cool flavor). How is Tomorrow bad exactly? Sure, it's not amazing, but you made it sound like you only got card selection and not card advantage. You get both. It is almost like scrying 3 before each card you would draw otherwise, meaning brainstorm would get you 9 cards into your deck. Plus, it gets around Sheoldred, Bowmasters, Narset, etc., draw triggers, and it has a toughness of 5, so it's not easily killed.
@NizzahonMagicАй бұрын
It doesn't give you card advantage at all on it's own, though. It's a replacement effect. It IMPROVES the quality of your draw, which like I said that ability is pretty nice -- but on a 6-mana 1/5 that slow of an ability isn't very good. Try playing with it sometime, and you'll be underwhelmed. I've been there. Haha.
