Could Kai have countered the triggered ability of Mosswood Dreadknight when he cut down it in game 1? That play seems better to me than running out the Curiosity, but I might be missing something.

Yes he could! Marcio's creatures have a lot of triggered abilities, so maybe Kai was saving it for later, or he was just unsure about triggered abilities (as with the Tranquil Frillback)

Why do they not remove loyalty from Kaito whenever he gets damaged? E.g. when a fish blocks Kaito

I was curious and looked it up. Apparently, Kaitos' ability that makes him a creature on your turn doesn't keep him a plainswalker. He is just a creature on your turn.

@@kingofdurp2329 Thanks for the reply. I looked it up as well, and Kaito is indeed not a planeswalker on your own turn. This confused me even more as I thought that means you can't use its planeswalker/loyalty abilities. But apparently you can. Someone pointed out that an agathas soul cauldron can give loyalty abilities of grist (in the graveyard) to creatures and you can use them as well.
