Didn’t Kai have lethal earlier in game one if he just swung with enduring kaito and restless reef if he downticked kaito to tap the harvester?

Probably. But it looked like to me Kai was maintaining mana up to stop a Tear Asunder from taking Kaito out or something else from breaking up his board. Seth's deck in that boardstate has ancetral recall tacked onto every single one of his big spells and I think Kai was extremely worried about Seth just drawing his way to an out.
