MTN Ghana and Vodafone Ghana all claim to provide superfast speeds making them telecom giants that deliver high speed 4G connections.
We get to see if they really deliver what they advertise and which network is the best to browse on during the day and at midnight.
We also get to explore factors which make your network slow even though you may have a signal indicating 4G on your smartphone.

for online gaming you need to consider ping, jitter and latency......high download speeds are not always important when it comes to online gaming

Mtn was really slow and unstable in Accra, during night package I had to change from 4g to 3g in order to download a movie. I'm in my hometown and it's worse as expected

You have to divide it wateva speed u get by 8,speed test gives u bits per second, while u re actually downloading stuff 1 byte is equal to 8bits,so 20mbps would give u 2.5mbps in actual download

You should also show some tests with international sites in Europe or USA to show latency and international throughput.

Bro, MTN is ridiculously expensive! They don't even work good at night too. I have a TurboNet and I bought 1.7TB bundle, that's about 1000gh, and it got finished in just 6 months. I don't even download stuff that much, I also don't watch youtube videos in HD. I just don't understand how 1.7 terabyte bundle could be drained in that short period of time. I try to use their MiFi at night but it's even worse as it's so slow that I can't download anything with it. I'm switching to Voda very soon. I heard they have some pretty good stuff for their customers. Can't deal with MTN no more bro. They thieves lmao

@@DarleneTechTips Just normal browsing, but I sometimes download KZbin videos with it. I've done some research and comparison recently, and I still prefer MTN cos I compared their broadband data packages with that of Voda and MTN is way better. Voda's is even mostly limited, which is cruel. I may just stick to MTN until something better comes along. lol

Internet speed varies from area to area so this is good effort but means nothing to those of us at the receiving end of poor service from mtn.

Bro it's not about signal reception, these guys are thieves. They all practice network throttling. They have systems in place to check your activities so they can cap the download speed. If you are a heavy user they will cap you drastically. Earlier I checked for Vodafone and it was around 15mbps and right after I started doing what I was doing I started to receive around 0.5mbps

Na true ooh. They have the opportunity to build better networks and speeds but they refuse to in order to get as much money as possible. My internet speed in America on my tmobile network reaches 1 gigabit at times yet in ghana they are still around 10 to 20 mbps. It's the same speeds I experienced in ghana in 2015. There is no improvements whether Voda phone or mtn
