Butte-Silver Bow road department had to remove and replace stop signs in uptown Butte in mid-February after stickers supporting a white supremacist group were found on the traffic signs. An offical with B-SB said he estimates it costs about $75 a signs. Due to the special reflective coating on the signs solvents cannot be used or it will fade the signs making it harded for motorists to see at night. The official said some signs may be salvageable but it will be a laborious process to remove the stickers.
