The Direction of those sketches, as Peele has said himself, is what made that show so good. Obviously hilarious and brilliantly written, but the direction elevated that writing to new heights. As a side note: Super Disappointing to hear Chappelle trash the show for "doing his format"...introducing pretapped sketches live on stage. Unlike other films he didn't take a series or films that were already out and changed it, he made his own. That's what I like to see in different communities, make your own, don't change theirs. Don't ask whites for shit or get offended at what whites are doing. Make your own and dominate the scene. Remember whites generally want to be like us in many ways and sometimes we want to be like them but it's time to stop copying and instead designing and creating your own. There is a level of paranoia that kubrick's films gave me that I dont quite understand. This movie delivered a somewhat similar feeling for me

@kaleel clark in the way that kubrick's films told stories that lie beneath the surface. Or how he introduced using the same subliminal methods that corporations use, for their commercials. In order to incorporate subjective messages to your subconscious mind.

he's nowhere near the genius of kubrick.

Believe it or not, I heard a lot of people did not like the film. I LOVED IT. I graduated from film school and one thing that my professors told us is that there are two kinds of cinema goers. The group that goes for entertainment and the group that go, because they LOVE to think. The great thing now is that we have something called “edutainment”, education is for everyone I believe.
