I am with ya girl! I turn 58 in 10 days and need a reset... for sure tons of stress in the past few months so I either ate or didn't,... not to mention aches n pains n such so exercise nah.That being said I have to start really slowly with the exercise. The roads here where I just recently moved to, there are no sidewalks so I'll be doing cardio in my room and walking the stairs in the house or at least do step ups on them ... and otherwise will do seated cardio while watching stuff on KZbin or such... not the whole time but for maybe 5 to 10 mins at a time so I can rebuild my stamina. Then I can progress along the way and get up to 30 minutes a day in a couple months. Also I am on the west coast of Canada and too cold for a walk out here .... I got some things to help me with portion control and some exercise bands to workout with.. found some great channels on YT to use for cardio I follow Pahla B too but also Leslie Sansone -Walk at Home and Reps To The Rhythm are the ones I love and I have a few dvds (Richard Simmons) for exercise This isn't just about physical health for me though .. Ill be implementing things for personal development/personal growth as well. I'm awaiting the updated and expanded version of a book called The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod so I can read it and implement it in late January early February.

It's OK to cheat once in awhile. You can always go back to your normal eating habits & exercising habits. Life is too short... not to eat the things that you want to. All in moderation. It's all about balance. Now that the Christmas season is over...we can all go back to our regular habits. Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊 Plus, you want to feel good about yourself when you go to Mexico. Your lunch looks healthy & delicious! You Go Girl! 👍😊👏😍

Absolutely so true! Life is too short to not enjoy those moments. And I find it's fairly easy to get back on track with IF, exercise and eating low carb. My Mexico trip will be here so soon and I want to feel my best! I can't wait! 🏖️

Trying to be brave enough to do the 3 day water fast to help w/ some muscoskeletal issues I've been having and maybe kick this lingering cold. LOL Thanks so much for the inspiration. I feel so much better when I'm low carb and fasting. Gotta keep reminding myself of that 😍

Good for you to start the year off right.! Years ago, I was a 'body builder', I was a real gym rat. I had several women ask me to show them what and how to do what I was doing. (Iwas not a trainer and let them know that.) I always told them....."YOU WON'T SEE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR BODY FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, BUT YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR MIND BEFORE YOU EVEN WALK OUT OF HERE." (as you are demonstrating today!) It was one of my mantras. My other mantra was, "If you don't take care of your body, where will you live?" I still work out every day, but at 74 yrs., its at a different level.. My husband and I walk 3.5 miles every morning and do a gentle Yoga every evening before dinner. Of course, we have to miss a day or more, but we always know we will get back to it. We've been doing those two things since the beginning of the pandemic. Before that, I was at the yoga studio and he on his walks. keep up the good work, and I hope you can extend your healthy routine way longer than just the month of January!

OH Renee~~ yes yes yes, I'M ALL IN with you for the month of January!!!! SOOOOO needed this! I've worked SO HARD at keeping 92 pounds off for 12 years now....using Weight Watchers meetings working a very rigorous program to learn to eat healthier, better choices, and smaller portions...if you are ready, WW works!! It's a journey though, learning new behaviours! Now like you, for the past 2 years, I've found my "golden key" of Intermittent Fasting ~ to maintaining my weight loss, plus making losing more pounds when needed, EASIER! I splurged like crazy over the month of December, and whoa, do I feel blah, bloated, just not my best, far from it. Again, I've worked to hard to slip so terribly. I write every night in a journal, have for years ( WW tool powerful)...wrote last night that as I get older I am very scared of winding up with diabetes...there is just an epidemic of that disease. Thank you for showing some examples of what you'll be eating ~ I took notes and will be eating many things as you! The workout part is going to be difficult~ I ve had 2 total hip replacements last year....still need foot & ankle surgery to correct severe PTTD ~ fancy long words for where basically your arch falls and my left foot became flat and foot turns way out to the left~ makes me walk kind of like the Hunchback Of Notor Dame & a penguin lol 🐧 no fun....desperately NEED that surgery, yikes. So I'll do my best in the physical part. I walk my white Labrador Moon, daily & take him to Dog Park and run his buns off lol,😂 daily at least, love yardwork too, but need to do more & get heart rate up to help burn baby! Thank you again & again! Oh~~ have orderd some of your " Favorites of 23'~ can't wait till they arrive tomorrow! ❤

Happy New Year Renee from Western Canada. Big year for your family with the wedding coming up. Great you are working out and feeling the wonderful mind clearing low carb eating. I chuckled when you said you hate your workout but love it after. I am 80 in October this year, eat low carb for 2 years and get myself out of the house 5 days a week and swim for an hour daily. Wear a fitbit that monitors swim and walks etc. Really have fun with it. Sometimes I don't want to go swimming and get cool and wet but the exercise is so good for us. Keep it up dear. All the best to you, the family including the lovable dogs. Janet..

I went walking today and I went grocery shopping to cook at home and not eat out. Now that the holidays are over I hope my depression will ease up or just go away. I know it always does but it's a challenge doing through it. I've been in darkness worse than now so if anyone. I tell myself "this is going to pass. " Thank you as always for charging.

I'm right there with you! Started doing chair yoga for seniors 2 days a week 4 weeks ago. I can already tell the difference in my back and the after effects of sciatica and hoping it will help with my balance. It's done in our community clubhouse-lots of support and socializing. Next week I start my walks. Aiming for 5 days a week, 1.5 miles a day eventually working up to 2 miles. About 1/4 mile of that is a steep hill. I liv in Florida so that's easy now. The real test will start in June with all the heat and humidity.

I do not feel any guilt or hangover from holiday eats. It’s part of life, & feast days go way back in human history. Sugar is the main bad guy in my world, so I limit that as much as I can while still allowing some. I use Lesser Evil popcorn - the best I have found to date. No fake orange stuff. Lavash is excellent. I was first introduced to that via pizza in a Pasadena restaurant - delicious!

I agree that getting back to the regular schedules and foods is much needed after the holidays - I had a few mornings that I had Christmas Crack with my morning coffee, I'm not gonna lie ...but now I am back to my Fage brand yoghurt - it is not sweet, but not too tart and I add a little cinnamon to it. Thanks for all the yummy sounding snack tips, and I know that once you set your mind to something, Renee, you succeed, so I have faith that you will be back to your normal routine in no time and feeling ready for the Mexico beaches!

Good Morning! Yes, I absolutely feel like you do about getting back on track! I put on 6 lbs 😮 after the holidays!!! I’m blaming the Christmas Crack. 😂 After watching some of your IF videos and how you lost weight in just 30 days, I decided to try it. I’m tired of this spare tire around my belly and feeling uncomfortable in my clothes and I just want to feel better overall. My husband has done IF for quite awhile now and he swears by it as well, but I just didn’t join in. I’m also going to implement low carb eating for both of us and I’m looking forward to trying your recipes. I am on day 3 of doing 16:8. Last night when I went to bed I was STARVING…or so I thought. Drank some water and went to sleep and woke up this morning not even feeling hungry. I’ve got about another hour before my eating window opens, and I’m still fine. Thank you so much for your wonderful and informative channel. I am so happy I found it and have enjoyed watching a bunch of your older videos. I have done some of Pahla B’s videos over the years and I also like Leslie Sansone’s indoor walking videos. Here in West Michigan (on the lake) it can be pretty treacherous walking outside in the winter, so on those days I do the indoor walking. Enjoy your day!!
@WelcomeToMyCurls9 ай бұрын
When starting IF, it does take about a week to settle into that routine. After a few weeks of your body adjusting, you'll start to really feel a difference...and you'll feel so much better! Absolutely! I'll be sure to include that in a future video. But basically....brush the lavash bread lightly with olive oil and bake at 375 degrees for 4 minutes until just slightly starting to crisp up. Then add a light amount of marinara, toppings and cheese. Don't add a ton because the crust is thin. Bake again for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and crust is cracker crisp. It's sooo good! I make this pizza all the time simply because it's delicious and I love a cracker crust!

Her name is Cheryl Coulombe She’s an inspiration and just simple weight lifting techniques that will change our body composition and we don’t have to use heavy weights, and she has gray hair like us 💕

Great sandwich. I like a slice of pineapple on my ham sandwich. Good luck to you. I can eat all berries but I absolutely can’t stand any chocolate chips in or in anything. I think because I don’t like chocolate.

Greetings Renee! I'm in! Are their other people out there that don't know how to do Instagram? I have the app, but I can't figure out what to do after I follow a creator. Help! Love and blessings ♥️🙏

Hi! I’ve been away on vacation and just returned home. I’ll be back on KZbin next week. See you then!

Keto isn't 0 carb, it's 30 or under. Carnivore is 0 carb. You're technically eating what's called a dirty keto ( meaning you do have processed food in your diet) but it's technically still keto.
