Good morning Jennifer, yesterday I was leaving Albany NY I saw a newsstand, instantly I remembered your article in the Victoria Magazine - YES, they had the very last one and it is now mine - YAAY, this morning as I was about to read your article (while having breakfast), I was pleasantly surprised when a notification popped up on my cellphone & it was you - I hadn’t read your article as yet because I was watching the delicious meal ideas you shared today. Thank you for bringing joy to my world and congratulations again for becoming Victoria’s Writer-In-Residence ❤

Thank you, Jennifer. I have never tried the sauerkraut, avocado combo, but it looks delicious. I’ve actually been researching on how to do my own fermenting. I’m going to give it a try. Hope your back is feeling better. It was great speaking to you over the weekend during the zoom call! Have a great week. Mia

Your videos are an excuse to take a tea break...for myself. Afterwards I get back to whatever I was working on beforehand. Whether it be meal preparation, a work project, etc. Though I admit I am inclined to be certain that I bookmark most any of your ACTUAL recipes (whenever you share any of them with us) because they are "always" superb. I love the Japanese dish ware from your friend... it's a very beautiful design ... delicate and elegant looking. I noticed it immediately. It really highlighted the biscuits/the cookies that your daughter made. The pairing of them seemed very "intentional" and in harmony with each other😔. Thank you for sharing with us, Jennifer. It's always lovely.

Hi Jennifer. Thank you for your inspiring contributions to KZbin and now Victoria Magazine. (I've been a fan of Victoria since it first came out!) I know what you mean about yoghurt here as opposed to Europe. I grew up in the the US with a Greek grandmother who made her yoghurt from scratch and I've never had anything like it unless I'm traveling in Greece. The closest "Greek style" I've found here is Fage 5%. I've also tried the Icelandic, and it is truly wonderful. Thanks again and enjoy!

I always enjoy seeing what you’re eating. The avocado with sauerkraut is something I would enjoy and I’ve recently discovered Trader Joe’s sauerkraut with pickled Persian cucumbers, and it’s delicious. I’m off to get avocados since I didn’t have any so I enjoyed this with steamed broccoli. Another luxuriant and decadent yogurt for me, since I limit my dairy intake, at least with yogurt, is Cocoyo living coconut yogurt. The tang and texture are an amazing indulgence.

I discovered the Icelandic ProvisionsThick ankd Creamy Skyr years ago and it is still my favorite. After the pandemic it is not consistently stocked at the grocery store. What is the reason to consume the salt drink when one is fasting intermittantly? Does everyone need to add it to their fasting routine? What about people who have high blood pressure and are on blood pressure meds?

I do not love Greek yogurt all that much either but I have been LOVING the Fairlife brand yogurt. It's lactose free and has 17g of protein per serving. It's super creamy but not dry on the palate at all. (I have tried skyr too and it is tasty).

You are hands down my favorite KZbin channel. I watch every video and many more than once. I'm inspired to make homemaking beautiful. However, I'll have to say that salmon, 1/4 cup rice , and 8 green beans would never ever be enough food for me to make it 16 hours. It's kind of discouraging to see that's the amount of food I'd get if I want to be thin. Realistically, I'd have to double the amount of rice and triple the green beans at a minimum. I'd say your diet isn't working because of IF - it's working due to your portion sizes!

Also a "hack" that I've heard ( but haven't successfully implemented myself imo) is eat a side salad before the main. Then eat the main. After, you can always have more veggies (ex. The beans) or more side salad. The reason why I think I haven't successfully implemented this is I feel it throws the rest of my proportions off and I end up eating more weirdly when the goal is to eat less. I think I have to actually put the salad with my meal instead of before to do this successfully

Sauerkraut and avocado, hmmm I'll give that a try. I'm hooked in Bubbies sauerkraut. If comes in a glass jar and it's the best I've had. I'll look for the one you shared, haven't seen that before😊💕

I’m curious about the Greek yogurt brand you buy in England? I’ve noticed exactly the opposite between here and Scotland-I’m able to get what seems to be legit Greek yogurt at Aldi here in the US that tastes good (we get the vanilla), but in Scotland all their “Greek” yogurt brands say Greek-STYLE yogurt. I even asked an Aldi manager in Scotland about it and she’d actually never noticed the “style” part. Same thing at Tesco. Maybe I need to check a different grocery store in Scotland?

How about a brokwurst sausage with sauerkraut in a roll, souvlaki and good ole 'fish & chips"? Life is too short to be fixating on grams of protein and counting carbs. Its been my experience that people who are afraid of food, are insecure in themselves. The Greeks, Italians, Spanish, Germans and Irish eat with relish and celebrate with delicious wines and ales.
