Once Kurt's stomach issues got sorted he became a lot more patient and less cynical in his interviews. There is a distinct line between him being irritable 91/early 92 to patient mid 92/93, and more introspective before answering. I've always preferred his later interviews. Krist just carries them in his early days, whilst he was cynical to a degree he was also amazingly articulate, funny and thought provoking. I dread what those early interviews would have been like if he had a similar introverted personality to Kurt and Dave back then.
@lottofever30612 жыл бұрын
Umm how about falling in love, getting married, and expecting a baby in the same timeline you mentioned? Nobody knows anything for sure but it's a chance the stomach thing was BS or exaggerated. Kurt was obviously already on the H by the time of this interview but he wasnt strung out yet, he still looks like he's having a good time and looks healthy. Actually, if you line up his journal around this time period it mentions that around november 1991 (the time of this interview) he started using heroin regularly to soothe his stomach pain. all though he wrote he had new (medicine) that was extremely effective it was definitely heroin he was referring to. Thats probably why he feels so good, he's finally feeling a little bit normal.

100% dick move. All the comparisons with the Beatles these guys get. Watch a Beatles interview. Charming, hilarious, witty, clever, fast. These guys just waste of air. Love their music though

Baby Dave, funny Krist with hair and happy Kurt! Right before they blew up so big that they became guarded..... I miss down to earth interviews with popular bands, I remember actually relating to musicians in the nineties when I was in high school. We only had MTV and magazines like Spin, etc so the world felt smaller. We looked to them for what books, albums we should buy...reading one interview could radically change you.

Nicely done MUCH, never seen this interview before, and ive seen everything on nirvana. This really showcased kurt and krist's knowledge of the music scene at that time.

Krist is good at answering the questions that Kurt can't or won't answer. Krist has a good answer for everything, even if it's silly. all nirvana interviews are interesting to me. because of the way they all react.
