Women skew left, men skew right. This goes back for thousands of years, its a fundamental difference in our biology and psychology. You cannot fault most women for idolizing left-wing values, as we cannot be blamed for our views. We need both, but things have become so polarizing that we cannot find a middle ground anymore....
@pennylando3145Күн бұрын
I like Rosie, too. I think she has the integrity to stand by her principles no matter how she is treated for doing so. But that is also why I struggle to understand why she would ever want to rejoin the current Labour party. Reading her article in Unherd, she has had some difficult times with her own colleagues for having an opinon that differed from theirs. The article is entitled "The Labour Party has a woman problem" and is an insight into how she has been treated. For example, she wrote: "First, speak up in defence of women’s sex-based rights. And then, face the consequences. Alone." I understand her problem with Starmer and his Cabinet, but I don't understand why she would return to a party that she herself has said has a problem with women, and which has treated her as the Labour party has.

Remember everyone: Rosie Duffield abstained in the vote to cut the winter fuel allowance for pensioners, which in my eyes is as bad as voting in favour of the cut to the winter fuel allowance. If she really stood by her constituents and principles, she would have voted against the government.
@SubjectiveFunnyКүн бұрын
Absolutely true. 100%!
@humptydumpty9177Күн бұрын
Indeed, however she has trumped that by resigning from the Labour Party and calling out this wicked and corrupted government. IMO she is one of the very few Members of Parliament that earns her 90k a year, she should consider Reform, where all views are considered.
@charlieleedham5265Күн бұрын
yeah i think she was scared to get the whip removed as she mentioned in the video about "livelyhood" having to go back to working in supermarkets etc... but it was more to do with the declaring scandal, so after that scandal shes had enough anyway, i think the scandal came after the winter fuel payments so makes sense why she did hold back. it was building up over the years though i think, with starmer being in charge and not listening to people like rosie, that declaring scandal was the last straw.....had that declaring scandal came first, then winter fuel, im pretty certain rosie wouldnt care and then vote against it.

There you have it, 'not Starmer loyalists' for many years. Many MP's have not been voter loyalists, I would suggest, but rather flocked to whatever suits their self-interest. This is not what we want from our MPs and certainly what our country needs. This has been undemocratic, and it is about time we changed our whole political system and started listening to the voters again. The great thing is that this current government will not last, and we will end this cross-party failure at the first opportunity.
