I use the nail forms (like the ones that come on a roll for acrylic nails). It makes cleaning up the fingers way easier.

I tried doing water marble at home. Firstly nail polish don't spread after dropping a droplet in a bowl. Secondly, if that spreads; it dries up super soon. Suggest some idea so that I can again try in new as well as better way please. Thanx

+Ankita Jain It depends on the brand of nail polish. You don't want to work with old goopy polish. You want thin nail polish and you want to work with room temp. water.

try testing the polish first do a smal drop of each color and see if it sinks if it does its not good for watermarble and remember the outer rings dry first so pull your desighn from the 2nd to 3rd ring in so it doesn't pull your desighn another thing is to make sure you have no fans or anything pointed at the water as it drys the polish quicker

Room temperature works best. Just put water into a cup and leave it out for 15-30 minutes.

You could just do it without any base coat, but it's a bad idea.

you can use a clear base, but make sure you colors are not too light, also you really can use any color base coat you want as long as it has the same color as ur water marble
