Greetings from Courtmacsherry in West Cork, as the bumper sticker proclaims…”The Quiet drinking village with a fishing problem”. My first trip home since 2019 before COVID put manners on us all. Battening down the hatches in advance of Storm Kathleen due to smack into the coast of Kerry & Cork tomorrow Fri the 5th of April. Never seen the fields of Ireland so green and so waterlogged, what a contrast with the desertification & drought hit region of Andalucía. Still the Irish breakfast and soda bread is worth it all and of course the ‘Uisce Beatha’…for the healthy chest. A Self Service dog washer, now I’ve seen it all! Looking forward to your seasonal fishy adventures, enjoy and I hope the weather is kinder.

Always great to get a comment from my friend. Hope you can enjoy your stay despite the terrible weather. Its been bad. I was invited by the shy man to fish with him on the famous lough Currane on Saturday. That's nipped in the bud. Hopefully the weather might settle after the storm and the sun might come out and the pigs will fly. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 drought sounds good to me at this stage taking the cobwebs off my suntan bottle😂😂😂 best of luck with the rest of your stay at least the soda bread was worth it all. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Great to have you back chicking a line mate. Yes, this weather has been awful. Constant rain over here too, but come the summer we'll all be whinging about low levels and why the reservoirs aren't releasing😂. Generally what we moan about on a seasonal basis! But we love it. I got out for a chuck yesterday hunting for a springer but nothing doing. It was nice to get out on the river though. Im pleased to see your camping food didn't go to waste and Hilda knocked a geat meal up for you! You even had cutlery! A real treat 😂😂. Good to see you back on here. When your videos arrive on here I know spring has sprung!

The key to the Kingdom of Vincent 😅. The fry must have had airmiles before Hilda ( whom you hid well ) hashed up a great tea for you... the chips looked chipper quality and a lovely dippy egg. Glad you got a cast in Kerry and hooked and returned one. Hopefully things will dry up a good bit in April and we all can get out for a few " Pet days " in a row.... ( coinciding with when you are due off duty ! )

That ought to get you out of schtuk in a snap! 🫰🏻 In all fairness though, I ought to warn you, I've never sat behind the wheel of a vehicle in my life, unless you want to count the 'bumper cars' at 'the merries' (as we Corkonians call the funfair - or used to, anyway)... So it's entirely possible you might end up with several yards of carpet wound around the axle, turning an inconvenience into a bona fide _'disaster!'_ Maybe a couple of those coir doormats (spelling? - you know, the dear, heavy sort) might be a better bet? Trouble is, it's a difficult question to experiment with, and when you're mired in the bog is not the time to find that some armchair expert in the KZbin comments was talking out of his a7se! Maybe others have ideas, or could bring the benefit of their experiences to play? (If I can be so bold, it's not _my_ comments section, after all! 😃)
