MUD, LEAVES and WOOD CHIPS: Tree Surgeon’s Truck Gets an 8-Hour Detail | Top Gear Clean Team

Unsurprisingly tree surgeon Tom’s Mitsubishi L200 truck is full of wood chips, leaves, mud and chainsaw grease. The same cannot be said for the mountain of takeaway containers that fill the passenger side footwell (there’s even a full order of doner kebab that has been in the cab for an unknown amount of time...) Eight hours isn’t normally long enough to clean a car like this - that is unless you’re the Top Gear Clean Team

I reckon most of the mess like that is put in by producers to enhance watch time, cause when you see all that mess you want to see what it is and how bad it is. and I work on the road and know many that do, we got bins in the vehicle and take them out when they fill, don’t know any people that work on the road with cars left that bad

I can imagine him eating while driving, and the passenger seat area is the trash bin 😂 I would have started with the seats, though, to give it time to dry. And the bed first before the outside, because what was then power-washed just dripped back onto the bumper. Or is it just me? Do detailers really work from the outside in?

I watched some other channels and it is like that, outside first, but the Detail Geek starts with the seats first on the inside, after that the carpet. I think the seats first to let them dry and the customer does not have to sit in wet seats
