MUDDY BOUNTY HILL CLIMB for $5k - Rock Rods Episode 21

On this episode of Rock Rods we head to Pumpjack Off-Road Park in Columbia, Kentucky for the 2016 $5,000 Bounty Hill Climb Competition. Each rock bouncer driver will get 2 runs, and the fastest combined time takes home the money. The weather here hasn't been great over the last couple of days, and it looks like more rain today. So this hill is going to be sloppy muddy for these rock bouncers. Tim Cameron is here and plans on taking home the win in his Unfinished Business buggy. Rules are simple. No time means you get repass. TC should have gotten another pass. He's a good dude. That 4 banger went straight up the hill both times without resetting. No one else did that.

I correct myself. C.H. did have to reset on his first attempt and TC had to reset on his second attempt. Times were pretty close. Both had good runs and both are good people.

Just finished reading your comment on you time stamping his second run and him losing. I would give him that time and not a third run. I don't think it would be fair. And I agree with everyone else, he would have probably won given the opportunity.

The problem is we can only time stamp it after we get back from the event. So the race officials should have allowed him another run. it was not his fault he didn't get a time.

It was close enough that they needed to let him re run. It is a little more difficult than seeing who crossed the finish line first or who jumped on Street Outlaws

This was a confusing mess to me. I thought on bounty hills you had to climb it the first time to get a chance at run 2. Also Timmy got fucked. I mean Timmy wins enough and its nice to see some others get a chance at the cash but a clock error is not he's fault and should of been given another run.

The timers are automatic laser timers. Sometimes they get mud on them or out of line and dont read a time.

Tim was not twice the time. It was fastest combined times of the two runs. It was down to seconds. There should always be a re run if the timers malfunction. Put yourself in his shoes.

BustedKnuckleVideo You asked the question at the end of the video and asked for our responses. Respectfully, if you thought he got hosed you should have just said it at the end of the video, or the drivers should have taken it up with the officials in Ohio and or never run that track again in this series, since they are unfair, don't go back. I don't know these people personally, as a fan only through your KZbin channel some of us can only comment on what we see. I'm appreciative of the event footage, but, TC must have the funds to topple most of the competition and undoubtedly started out this sport with a "silver spoon" advantage let's say from what I can only see. Actually by watching several different channels that cover these events from what I can see by watching the videos he's catered to quite enough. Once again I can only see by footage that some of the drivers probably struggle to stay in the game and some don't have to.

We definitely like to get feedback. I thought is was unfair but was curious as to what others thought. Timmie works hard to stay ahead of the game and there is no one else in the game that has put as much effort and seat time into the sport as him. I think it is a bit crazy to not treat him just like any other racer. This was in Kentucky and was not a part of any series.

BustedKnuckleVideo So sorry, Kentucky, the video I was watching prior was in Ohio. None the less, This not being part of any point standings or series/whatever, simply don't go back. My Dad has always said "If something bothers you get rid of it or don't have anything to do with it." But my next question is, What was their excuse for that decision? Did no one ask? You brought this question to us and I am definitely a fan and possibly not the most astute fan, but maybe you can include that info?Thanks and please don't take my comments as sarcasm I'm really interested in this sport and enjoy watching it on KZbin. With all that said, I'm still a fan of the underdogs.

The park owners claim that someone else was running the race and that they were not aware of the situation that happened. I thought it was standard for a rerun if there is a timer malfunction. That is the point I was trying to get across. And that is what I think should have happened.
