Mufti Abu Layth al-Maliki responds to Maulana Zakaullah Saleem (Imam at Green Lane Masjid) who criticised him in a recent Juma Khutbah at Green Lane.
Mufti extends a warm gesture of a one to one, face to face discussion on the topic of Aqeedah, since the Maulana feels very passionately about the subject.

However, Mufti Sahab, I disagree with you in most of the things, although i am no one ATM, however i cant deny the fact that you possess knowldge of this religion, and although i disagree with you, that never means i hate u or even dislike you, i just dont follow your openions, and although you don't need it from a layman like me, but I do acknowledge your knowledge and i do not doubt your sincerity. I just disagree with you in openions, but i always feel these disagreements are a mercy from the almighty in a broader scope. I watch your video because i am more intrested in controversies in Islam and want to know more about them but the only place i found them is your KZbin channel. I study controversies just because it has helped me in changing my perception by reading through the difference in dalail of the uelma, eventually protecting me from hating or disliking anyone, with whom i disagree, because i know that even if i dont agree with him, but him having a genuine daleel makes things more comfortable. Just like Al Baji Al Andalusi's openion about the literacy of prophet pbuh. I want to contact you personally, please reply.

As much as i dont agree with Mufti Abu Layth, I dont think he is drinking with his left hand. It’s the way the cam mirrors when recording. Kind of like if you were to stand in front of a mirror and drink with the right hand, it will look as if you are holding the cup in your left hand, to a person looking at your reflection. Just felt i had to clarify as others have brought the same issue up. As for the things that are said.... May Allah SWT guide us all.

I try to learn from both schools of thought Aqidat as Salefiya, and from ahlus sunna wal jamma from the Indian region (who are not the phir baba and the deviant biddaiees) but best thing I found is not to fall in to the traps of shaythan by ordinary people getting into arguments, let the imams work out their arguments we'll just try to take the correct opinions on each issue when best Bhurhan , hujja, dhalil , proof is established in'sh'Allah. They both are wrong and right at times just like even sahabas were. But the truth once heard out is usually clear from egos. Ameen

The aqeedah comes straight from the quran and sunnah. It is you jahmiyah and ashariyah who take the explicit verses on the names and attributes of Allah and give them a different meaning to fit your philosophical baggage left over from aristotle. That sums up mufti Abu layth and his aqeedah as well.

NicheXclusive I for one believe my brother , that it should be the well grounded students of knowledge and scholars who should do the refuting, as for me I'm a nobody, despite that I have, looked into their history and observed their distortions and I am merely giving a warning to anyone watching. Too many youngsters sadly put themselves forward without being grounded and having studied. In addition debating in of itself is a branch of knowledge that needs to be studied. Barakallahu feek.
