From research Ibrahim a.s. was from Ur city in ancient Chaldea in modern day Iraq. Indigenous Chaldea was around Mesopotamia, Sumeria, Akkhadia, Assyrians and later Babylonians. Prior to the Persian and later Arab conquering of the land. Historians have said that Sumerians were a Dravidian peoples who originally were closely related to the peoples of India. Their are many evidence that prophet Yunus (Jonah) was prophet in Greece. I was always thinking why Allah in the Quran called Jonah as Yunu-s (Greek), while Jesu-s (Greek) was called Essa. The land Greece is also known as Yunan (اليونان) which means The Land of Yuna. Its other name is Greece (الاغريق), Greek is semitic word which means The Drowned. Yunah lived in the 800BC, same period as the beginning of the golden age of Greece. Greece at that period adopted the semitic Abjad letters, and had a high influence by the semitic language. Before that they had totaly different language similar to the hieroglyphics that based on symbols called (Linear B) . I believe Yunah after he was drowned and swollowed by the whale he landed in Greece, and the people their followed him and accepted him as prophet. "139. And Jonah was one of the messengers. 140. @@sam_mirza I don't think that was Sanskrit, that was the Hittite language. They had a lot of similar words and both probably evolved from an earlier origin language. When you think about when the Maitrayaniya Upanishad that is the earliest mention of Brahma was composed, roughly around 400 BCE to 1000 BCE, probably after the time of Moses, who was given the Torah. It makes sense that Ibrahim who was mentioned in the Torah was in Upanishad.

It is a very interesting speculation, but this “East” of him can also refers to a vast area in Central Asia or Persia before it reaches to Indus Valley, yet based on the data reference of bible, I don’t find Indus Valley being more plausible to fit for this “East” than the Central Asia, and very likely the indo European language shares some similar sounds to”Brahma” too. I think the Indus Valley suggestion to fit this “East” is still a huge step of lift.

Very interesting take. I disagree for many reasons: 1) Such an event would have likely left a print in written history. 2) Abraham was expelled from his home city at a young age. His education was necessarily limited even if he was a brahmin. 3) Why would he end up in Mecca with Ishmael? If he was Indian Marco Polo he would have stayed as a court advisor. 4) The story of the Bible makes more sense if we understand "Pharao" to mean "Big house" instead of "palace". Abraham didn't meet a great king but just some rich man with a big house, that's why he feared he would take his wife. The man didnt have an infinite sexual offer like the actual king of Egypt. My theory is that he was an Urite who became a merchant after being expelled. He traveled a lot, in one city he became famous and met the king with which he had the debate of the Quran. Ishmael dislike the lifestyle of his father which worried him a lot, that lead to him dreaming of sacrificing Ishmael. As a human being, he made a mistake, a terrible mistake which God prevented from actualizing. After that, Abraham agreed to help Ishmael settle, for this purpose they chose an Oasis in the middle of Hijaz, where now Mecca stands. Iaacob continued the nomadic business of his father though, reason why he traveled to Egypt like it was nothing when the famine struck his homeland. After this event, Iaacob and his offspring all settled in Egypt as state officials thanks to the help of Joseph.

The Bible mentions he was from Ur but his family were originally from the East, before the flood of the river. it doesnt state where in the East (to Iraq) that is? historically, we know the Indus Valley civilization thrived and was displaced due to a major flood. There are also other roots from settlements in the ME following the flood. i think it would make a great Phd to research classic ME names/myths and how they could be related to the Indus Valley. Ive always thought the name Gilgamesh sounded of Indian origin 😊

Also, beware of the people that say that everyone was Indian. That may be possible but there is a huge number of Indians that distort evidence for nationalist reasons (such as denying the Aryan invasions) so double check sources about Vedic civ.

As per your description Abraham was from UR, sumerian state of mesopotamia, Present day Iraq near Euphrates and Tigris. In early times people used to live near rivers, ponds and water areas due to their need of water, agriculture, irrigation e.t.c. All civilization in early times resided mostly near water areas. Oldest civilization of world was Egyptian civilization 6000 B.C. Second Civilization was of Iraq 5500 B.C : Babylonia. Third was 5000 B.C Indus valley, mohenjo daro, harappa. Quran tells about Namrood King which was from Babylonia, Iraq.Hence, He must belongs to Iraq not Indus valley.

Yes, it’s says that, but please do read what actual historians say about Abraham. People like Bart Ehrman or Finkelstein (for example). What are we talking about here... mythology from four thousand years ago? The bible has lots of place names in it. You know very well that this is just a psychological trick to make people believe! The ‘idea’ of Abraham (said to mean ‘father of the many’) was most likely a way for the jewish people to claim a national identity. A bit like Romulus and Remus, to the Romans.

May be these are linked . How , moenjodaro was destroyed is still a mystery. The language of Moenjodaro needs to be deciphered.
