And we all know the prophets dreams are true and correct this the correct aqeeda of Islam For example take a look at the story of Aisha ra and the prophet pbuh Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to me, "You were shown to me twice (in my dream) before I married you. I saw an angel carrying you in a silken piece of cloth, and I said to him, 'Uncover (her),' and behold, it was you. I said (to myself), 'If this is from Allah, then it must happen.' Then you were shown to me, the angel carrying you in a silken piece of cloth, and I said (to him), 'Uncover (her), and behold, it was you. I said (to myself), 'If this is from Allah, then it must happen.' "

I’m suspicious of the way you translated verse 37-103. You didn’t mention “when they both submitted to Allah’s will”. What “will” is Allah speaking of there? Isn’t this regarding the dream? Didn’t Allah will for Ibrahim (as) to do the sacrifice? Hmmm?

“To Allah’s will” is not present in the Arabic. The Arabic simply reads (word by word) “Then when both of them had submitted and he put him down on his forehead” I think verses 102 and 104 are slightly more problematic to this argument - in 102 The son says “Oh my father do what you are commanded” And then in 104 it says “And then We called out to him ‘Oh Ibrahim indeed you have fulfilled the dream’”. I mean it doesn’t completely destroy Mufti’s argument but it does feel like a more natural interpretation, that Allah approved of the boy’s wording of “what you are commanded” - even if that doesn’t seem like a logical or merciful request to those of us viewing this with 21st century eyes. Maybe in light of the cultural practices of that time (as explained in the beginning of the video), it could actually be the test that the majority of Muslims believe it to be 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@rhuiden4086 Imran Hosein makes a lot of serious errors in his analyses. And he also makes claims as to the interpretation of events described which really have no evidential basis in the religion. Allah mentions it through a dream, and when all know from Quran and sunnah that the prophets dream never lies, the dream of prophet I’ll give you some examples. Remember˺ when Joseph said to his father, “O my dear father! Indeed I dreamt of eleven stars, and the sun, and the moon-I saw them prostrating to me! He replied, “O my dear son! Do not relate your vision to your brothers, or they will devise a plot against you. Surely Satan is a sworn enemy to humankind. Now if the dreams of the prophet are not true why yaqob AS worried for his son? And the story of Aisha ra were Allah showed her twice the prophets dreams Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to me, "You were shown to me twice (in my dream) before I married you. I saw an angel carrying you in a silken piece of cloth, and I said to him, 'Uncover (her),' and behold, it was you. I said (to myself), 'If this is from Allah, then it must happen.' Allah didn't ordered Abraham prophet to kill his son because: 1.if he get's order then God is not good 2.If he does that ,Allah and Abraham is bad 3.If Abraham doesn't do ''he is bad'' for not listening God, bit how can God be God to order innocent, but if he does sacrifice then Abraham is evil. 4.He couldn't sacrifice son or animals for sins because you could literally sacrifice all animals and plants and you will still make sin. ALSO the mistakes sometimes immediatly manifest concenquences so we essencially pay OUR OWN SINS. THE ONLY LOGICAL ANSWER IS : HE HAD A VISION IN A DREAM wich is also mentioned in Qur'an. Dream can mean other meanings wich makes Allah wise. Why? Because if Allah never invented dream , caring reminder that innocent person shall not be killed would be almost as hard as low as it can get (forgatten). WHY DO WE DO EID EL ADHA? by sacrifising animal we remind our selfs that innocent people shall not pay sins of other people. By giving that meat the more as possible ,we also remind everyone else TROUGH THAT MEAT that INNOCENT PERSON WILL NOT PAY SINS OF OTHERS. yet christians accuse Jesus for crimes he never commited . regarding Jesus prophet: if he payed all of your sins then forgivness doesn't exist therefore if you get salvation or non salvation as confirmed then you must immediatly die- Why? Because if you pass all years exams of school and get diploma you don't go to school anymore. That school was a testing ground. Then you get to better place (job) but even job is testing ground but not as testing as school. But when you completly pass SCHOOL OF LIFE, this means you enter Jannah wich means you are never going to be forced to do anything for your survival. THAT'S WHY JESUS PROPHET CAN NOT PAY YOUR SINS. You pay your own sins you are still alive (to gain certificate of passing life test you die immediatly).

The problem happens when we put ALLAH swh action into our logic.. If we apply our logic to understand ALLAH swh decree then the problem happened. If we think that God cannot ask his servant to sacrifice his son and that make God unkind or some kind of illogical which we cannot expect from God then… what you gonna say about 1. When ALLAH swh told mother of Musa as to float his son ? 2. When whale came and swallowed prophet Yunus as ? Whose command was that? 3. When Khidir as killed a young boy? Is this blasphemous to believe that it is ALLAH commanded? 4. Before the revelation our prophet Muhammad sm used to see dream which came true to the very next day?? May be some of this for us westerners in our logic or point of view cruel, but Allah swt is the best planner and everything is in his knowledge.

I grew up going to a Lutheran church. As a child, I was confused by a lot of things I learned in Sunday school and catechism. I hated the idea that God told Abraham to sacrifice his son regardless of the reason. Whenever I heard that story, being a boy, I always envisioned myself as Abraham’s son, feeling scared, and wondering why God would command his father to kill him AND why He would subject a child to such torment. I even had nightmares about it. Years later in catechism, I asked why an omniscient God could do that to a believer and his son. I would like to make a request (without reading the the description). I cannot read Arabic. Would it be possible to display or write the quoted Quran verses so that non-Arabic speakers/readers could follow along?

Child sacrifice was common in the Canaanite culture during Abraham’s time en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_sacrifice?wprov=sfti1 God was so appalled by this barbaric sacrifice to "him" that he had to dramatize his refusal of child sacrifice by teaching Abraham this important lesson. God tried to stop this act by giving us a conscience to know right from wrong. However, Several people continued to kill their children in the name of God and God had to dramatize his refusal of this barbaric act. I can't find a normal human equivalent. But I'll try with this analogy: imagine if my child wants me to smoke with him, and I tell him I don't want it, but he continues to blow second hand smoke on my face. Ultimately, I give him money to buy a big box of cigarettes for me. He buys it and then I ask him for a lighter, he brings it, and then I set the whole box on fire to show him I'll never smoke with him. Abraham couldn't deny God this sacrifice because it was clear to him the boy was a miracle child. If Sarah had been pregnant when she was in her 50s, he probably wouldn't have gone on with the sacrifice. It was clear to Abraham that God was asking back from him, something God had given him in the first place. Abraham was also confused because God told him this child would be the father of many nations. He knew God had a stake to protect this specific child. So he went on with the sacrifice with this two conflicting ideas in his mind. But one thing I'm sure of is this: Abraham didn't go home that night to brag to his wife of his great faith and sacrifice to God. See Genesis 12:10-13, Genesis 20:1-2. ) Here are the Lessons that Abraham learned: ◦ Yahweh requires a sacrifice ( Just like the pagan gods) ◦ Yahweh, unlike the Pagan god, is a loving God and doesn't accept human sacrifice. ◦ Yahweh himself provides the sacrifice.

So 2 great prophets of Allah, who knew and recognised Allah more than anyone, failed to realise that "Allah is not so sadistic to command such a thing"? Rather, Ismail says "Do as you have been commanded".... Then in the very next verse, Allah says "when they submitted". What do Muslims submit to? The command of Allah. Also, ibrahim عليه السلام recognised that this was not a normal dream. This was revelation here.
@Wassalaam92
@Wassalaam92 3 жыл бұрын
@Mirzə submitted to Allah. That is what both the prophets understood. Muslims only submit to Allah.
@Wassalaam92
@Wassalaam92 3 жыл бұрын
@Mirzə the word used is "aslamaa" , which means they submitted. "Islam" means submission to the will of Allah. You dont need to think outside of the box. Allah says that ismail said: "Do as you have been commanded". Allah says ibrahim consulted his son about his dream, indicating that it wasn't a normal human dream, it was prophetic. Allah describes their action as submission. The apparent reading of these verses favour the idea that it was Allah's command. To prove otherwise is on you. You cant simply say, "Allah is not sadistic", because these great prophets know Allah more than anyone.
@Wassalaam92
@Wassalaam92 3 жыл бұрын
@Mirzə not all dreams are revelation. A prophet of God will know when it is from Allah or not. A prophet of God will know whether it is a natural human dream or whether it is revelation. As for the word Aslamaa and Islam, they mean submission. In the context of the story, it is quite clear that Allah is saying they submitted to His command, especially as the verse prior says that Ismail said "Do as you have been commanded". I dont get your point about the police and shirk etc, totally irrelevant. I am talking about the act of submission in this story as described by Allah.
@Wassalaam92
@Wassalaam92 3 жыл бұрын
@Mirzə How do i know that they knew it was from God? Didn't ismail clearly say: "Do as you have been COMMANDED"? Who else besides Allah commands prophets? One guy in the comments section has written that it was a satanic dream. Do you believe that? Secondly, regarding submission, i have not said anything about shirk. If you submit to your parents etc, that is not shirk. I dont see what this has to do with our discussion. All i have said was that the verse implies submission to Allah, as the verse immediately prior says "Do as you have been commanded". If the command is considered to be from Allah, then the submission is also for Allah. Thirdly, "do i believe God is sadistic". No. Now let me ask you, did ibrahim and ismail think that God is sadistic? Do you know Allah better or did they know Allah better? What did they think Allah has commanded them to do? Please provide answers, I've forgotten what the speaker in the video has said now, I'll listen again later

so 'zibhin azeem' means sacrificing a ram. Totally makes sense. As much as i am a fan of mufti sahb, this is another one of those times when he's trying too hard to make Islam more "ACCEPTABLE" according to modern standards of the society, well mufti sahb good luck with that. For the sake of argument let's accept that logic of Mufti sahb that what kind of a God would want human sacrifice? well, i humbly ask what kind of a God would need sacrifice of a Ram? what kind of a God would ask people to pray and fast for his pleasure? what kind of a God would tell people that you'll burn in hell if you deviate from his way? what kind of a God would let people die from diseases? there could be a thousand counter narratives to this logic of yours. Mufti sahb arz ye hai k it was a trial for Sayyidena Ibrahim (a.s), of course God didn't want him to kill his son nor would it make God happy and nor would Ibrahim (a.s) not doing so would make God sad, God is Absolute, he is beyond being happy and sad, Sayyidena Ibrahim was not a just a random man, he was a Prophet and like many other Prophets he too had to go through trials. And lastly, Islam does not need the approval stamp of the "modern people" mufti sahb,It's doing pretty fine Alhumdulillah, And the fact that you couldn't come up with any justification about what "zibhin azeem" meant clearly shows how knowledgeable and well read you are on this topic. Mufti if God knows everything and could change everything in the universe. He could have changed the dreams of Ibrahim, so he'd never dream of him sacrificing his son. God knew that Ibrahim and his son will experience that psychological crisis, and nevertheless he allowed that dream to happen. Thus you could say, that Allah (with his choice) sent Ibrahim the dream, which resulted in the story you mentioned. Therefore it's logical to say that Allah (indirectly) sent Ibrahim the dream and tested him

And if you 'flash flame' it by pouring Bourbon all over the steak - then all the better! But these things hardly fall into the general description of 'sacrifice.' Maybe the cow is doing the sacrificing - but to what end? It sacrifices itself for me? Oh, thanks cow. The world seems to be a morally complex place. HERE IS MY EXPLANATION: Allah didn't ordered Abraham prophet to kill his son because: 1.if he get's order then God is not good 2.If he does that ,Allah and Abraham is bad 3.If Abraham doesn't do ''he is bad'' for not listening God, bUt how can God be God to order TO KILL innocent, but if he does sacrifice then Abraham is evil. Isn’t a lot of extra information been added to that incident by the Sect promoting sources? 🤔 Please tell me : How can we trust the traditional Sect preachers? brother the words قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ indicate that the sacrifice was an order of Allah however that sacrifice was not of the goat but we see in the Qur'an it was the sacrifice ibraheem and Ismail made by dedicating their lives to Allah in submission at the Kaaba indicated by the words رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ It was this Submission to Allah that was the fulfiment of the dream. The Qur'an does not mention a goat coming in place which is in the Bible. Also the son is Ismail as Quran mentions birth of Isaac after the sacrifice incident, indicating it was the first born.

That only indicates that Ibrahim a.s. thought he was commanded by God. There's no issue in that, for why would he sacrifice his son if he didn't think God wanted him to do it? @VerdantJedi
@VerdantJedi 3 жыл бұрын
You may not agree with me but the way I see it is that Abraham stopped himself from sacrificing his own son. His own moral conscience is telling him that it's wrong. That doesn't mean that God had nothing to do with it. In reality God acts through you. You are not separate from God, just like the rays are not separate from the Sun. The metaphorical and symbolic expression is described as God sending Gabriel to stop Abraham from sacrificing his son. It is "Mutashabihat" as referenced in verse 3:7. Muslims and mainstream theists always have this duality concept of God as an external force from somewhere, which was never the case at all. Ultimately you know yourself, that is how God is always able to know you. What you know and what you do is bound to God and everything in life and nature are intertwined to God.

@oddizzee Then sorry to say that you do not have an understanding. You seriously think that some "External God" is whispering into those prophets' ears, telling them what to do? You think that is how prophets were made? Prophets are just like any other person but only that they have a knack to be the shepards of a society, guiding them towards wisdom, they use their God-Given intellect, not that "An External God is whispering to them, giving instructions", metaphorically using their conscience was really how "God spoke to them". Good luck with whatever you think the truth is. If you still disagree then so be it.

Totally agree that the notion that Allah would command the sacrifice of Ibrahim's son is contrary to Allah's nature, words and actions. I want a better answer though that gives Ibhrahim a better reading. I expect there's a reading of this, where Ibrahim and his son don't think that Allah commanded sacrifice but something else. In verse 37.103 it might be worth looking at the cluster of meanings associated with the trilateral root word of verb that is translated as "laid him for sacrfice" or "threw him down". There are other meanings in the cluster work better i think and avoid having a view of Ibrahim which renders him incapable of determining one of Allah's most fundamental characteristic - his love/kindness.
