May Allah protect you dear Mufti. I was looking everywhere for an answer which would frame the answer in terms of Muslims being witnesses on the side of Justice. Your response was very fair and as well as you could provide without unnecessary criticism being levelled against you.

A salamu alaikoum wa rahmatou llahi wa barakatou Usa is not like a muslim country no doubt. But if its difficult for you to practice your religion or to live your life as a muslim just do the Hijra that's it. You got nothing to do as a Muslim in a country like america. You want to do a protest in the streets, is it gonna be 100 % full of men? or are you gonna be mixed with women? Is it allowed to be mixed with women in the streets of a non Muslim country? Are you ok with this type of situation? So the sharia is different in a muslim country to a western country for you and different from the past to our time? Allahou al moust3an

Democracy goes against Islam because only Allah is the law maker. Thus how is voting allowed Just because the Quran or Sunnah doesn't list out all the things that are haram or halal. For example, smoking isn't mentioned in the Quran. So someone might say then it's not haram. But Allah tells us that don't harm your health. Thus we can extrapolate that smoking isn't allowed as it harms us.

@@siamshikdar yes. And only Allah is the Lawmaker. In a democracy and thus in protests, people can make laws. For example the LGBT marches led to leniency in the allowing of homosexuals in society.
@BruvahSulaiman
@BruvahSulaiman 3 жыл бұрын
@@weshouldsaveourselves6780 Homosexuals are allowed in society just as heterosexuals are allowed. What isn't allowed according to shariah is haram sex acts. There is no sin or crime in desiring someone of the same sex. That desire makes you a homosexual but modern standards but does not make you a sinner any more than a man with a desire for a woman who is not his wife should he not do anything haram with that woman. Be careful with the way you word things because it matters. The issue with homosexuality in the USA is not that protesting led to it being allowed to exist within people. The issue is that protesting has made it to where you'll lose your job if you speak against the physical act that they commit. Protesting has led us to a place where they teach the children in public school that being that way is not just natural but okay and even good. It's gotten us literally to the point where parents can allow doctors to remove a confused child's genitals because that child said he isn't a he anymore.

I would have loved if the mufti talked about "mubah" because a lot of people don't seem to put emphasis on it. Not everything is from the sunnah, and not everything is haram, so a lot of things that people do are actually mubah and thus involves no judgement from God.
@l.k1992
@l.k1992 4 жыл бұрын
Very good point, I was thinking the same thing. The examples he gave of having a college degree or bank account are mubah, they have nothing to do with the deen, it's like having a fridge or washing machine or car My understanding was that speaking out against oppression is a form of enjoining good and forbidding evil so we need to follow the ways of the prophet peace be upon him and his righteous companions may Allah be pleased with them as to HOW to stand against oppression and that because they didn't engage in protests as a way to fight against oppression then this was what made them haram and Allah knows best. This video was quite confusing

@mplsridah 4 жыл бұрын
I.k exactly thank you. People seem to only know about haram and halal. There are 5 ahkams, why do people neglect the other 3 ? And you're right, a lot of things we do are actually mubah: driving a car, drinking a cup of water, etc.
