Interesting that when the long suffering Zimbabwean people had finally had enough of Uncle Bob and gave him the heave, the new President, Mr. Mnangagwa then invited back a number of white farmers whose lands had been seized, back to farm again. Now I wonder why that would be?.....Could it be that the ZANU-PF cronies who received the seized lands didn't know their ass from a hole in the ground when it came to commercial farming?.....or that they simply were too lazy to do anything with it?

I notice that most of the comments here are quite uneducated. If no one sees the pink elephant in the room called communism, then you're ignorant. Zimbabwe is a communist country that started in 1980. The country before it was called Rhodesia, a Republic that seperated themselves from the "Imperialist" called England. Rhodesia's was a very accepting place, well before the rest of the world. The Rhodesians fought hard to keep communism at bay, only to have a communist, Robert Mugabe, cheat at the elections and run the country with his communist ideas, ideas that were given to Mugabe through Russian, Chinese and North Korean propaganda. The propaganda fueled racist and tribal ideas to the native Africans that were already fighting amongst themselves, which is still happening today. Robert Mugabe was a Dictator, clearly. Mugabe's "Presidency" lasted from 1980 to 2017, the reason why it ended in 2017 is because he died. The native Africans in Africa have been taken for a ride by the Soviets and the Chinese, which the Chinese are still doing to this day.

You wrote a whole bunch of nonsense misinformation, Rhodesia was hell for native Africans, they fought against colonization under the lead of Robert Mugabe and Joshua Nkomo with the support of Russia and China. The reason Mugabe ruled Zimbabwe from 1980 to 2017 is because he kept winning the elections and his people supported him. When he lost support he got forced to retire in 2017 and passed away in 2019.

Mugabe was such a walking contradiction that I wouldn’t have been surprised if he teamed up with the white minority government in South Africa if he thought it would’ve kept him in power. Somehow he’d justify it as some romantic unified struggle against imperialism which the Boer people had suffered too. Just look at how he teams up and glorifies a Cuban revolution accompanied by clear racial ideology at the time. If he can team up with them to condemn and resist European imperialism, then he was certainly capable of doing the same with the white South African government or even a white nationalist paramilitary group.

If Zimbabwe cannot embrace the best of its African indigenous heritage, the economic and industrial brilliance of the white patrimony called South Rhodesia, the brotherhood of it's large African Christian population, the independent can-do spirit of UDI Rhodesia, and the best of the mixed race, black majority ruled Zimbabwe of today, it will disappear and be forgotten as another failed African State. But if it CAN and WILL embrace all those things and take from them the best lessons of its history while rejecting racism, tribalism, and the failed ideology of Marxism, it will be the great nation it was and always has been called to be. Admit that Robert Mugabe made mistakes, as did Ian Smith, and learn the lessons of other great African leaders who set the right examples like Sir Seretse Khama and Nelson Mandela, and Zimbabwe can move forward and succeed. Zimbabwe needs a good dose of honest self-examination and humility to have the blessings of God restored to it.

Libya had the highest quality of life between the 60s and 80s of Gaddafi's rule. Then came the west, turned Libyan against their leader, divided and conquered then killed Gaddafi. The west are not accountable for anything they have done in human history. Right now Mali has cut all diplomatic ties with France, all of a sudden all of Europe has sanctioned Mali. No one owns land in America and many other countries historically. Even Bantus migrated from Nigeria and drove out the khoikhoi&san from central, south and east Africa. So should Bantus go back to Nigeria also? Should the Americans go back to Europe & some back to Africa? Should the nilotes in East Africa go back to south Sudan? Should the Khoikhoi&san reclaim back their land in south and east sub Saharan Africa? Should the British go back to Germany where they came from? Mugabe you were wrong on this land issue although you're now dead.No one owns land in America and many other countries historically. We in Zimbabwe still cherish the legacy of RGM, despite it being tarnished by neocolonialists. He was fearless and resolute in his fight against neocolonialist elements at home and abroad. He was thus declared a national hero and a founding father of our national independence, and he inspired us in every way

You left out the part where Mugabe and his commissar buddies robbed, abused, and neglected the people and their country.

@@InvisibleHotdog Come on, that`s a false line from opposition politics. And you also left out the part where the people got land and are now opening processing centres across all industrial sectors, and I am one of them btw. More love hey, stop the hate

@@i4stsmartsolutions929 I'm glad you're contributing to your community and wish you well, but Gukurahundi, land seizures, kleptocracy, and other brutalities are a lot more than "false lines from opposition politics." There's a reason the international community came down on Mugabe, including Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. And it wasn't the opposition that overthrew Mugabe, it was his own party and family.

Good job President Robert Mugabe. We pray to God to welcome your soul in Heaven's gates, in Jesus Christ name, Amen. This land belonged to Africans in the very first place, so Robert Mugabe was right on this one.🇿🇼
