This is one of the coolest things you have ever made. Re: the grapes, maybe try flipping it over very carefully for few minutes and see if you can get a few of them to travel back thru the glue now that they had a chance to absorb some glue inside?
@Billducknow523 жыл бұрын
To make your grapes suspended, just use the cheap hair gel from Dollar Tree. You can place them anywhere with a wooden skewer. However, there will probably be bubbles in the gel. This is a GREAT project, headed to get more supplies.
@asheelterestini54543 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. The gel will let you suspend things. If you slowly stir the gel, in a warm room, you can get some of those bubbles to dissipate. You could also wait a few hours and see if you can carefully move the grapes as the glue starts to dry.

I love it! Definitely one to add to my collection! Hot glue tip. Put a tiny dab of glue on the end of your "side stick" and stick it to the one in the glue gun. That way you don't run out of glue 😊

I tried this multiple times it either broke off when i moved around or it became to thick to go through the machine

If you use clear hair gel - it will keep the grapes suspended where you want them. Just add layers and you can move the grapes where you want them with a wood skewer. The gel takes the food coloring really well. You can even make the layers different colors of green and swirl them for a cool effect. Hope this helps. I am going to have to make one of thse dudes. Thanks.

This is such a cool prop! Love this one! and that idea with the grapes: so clever! I might actually give this one a go as well. p.s. Looking forward to another collab!!

I would suggest filling the grapes with glue to make them heavier so that they sink, also could add like a metal bead, something with weight to keep them from floating.
@AHanks3 жыл бұрын
That was awesome Danny! An idea for the grapes would be to still put something (like the beads/water/glue) in them to weigh them down then seal the opening with hot glue. It might be too time consuming, but if you only did some of the grapes it wouldn't be too bad. Also if you're ok with bubbles hair gel lets you suspend things in the potion better than glue. Loved this DIY!

I love how it starts with an idea/concept, you're exploring (sort of as you already know what you're doing lol) along the way to see what works and doesn't work, your exclamation of joy when things work and then the result is AWESOME SAUCE!!

Cool potion idea! What if you squeezed the grapes while they were submerged in the glue and let them fill up a bit with the glue? Would that change their buoyancy?
