I just ordered a translation of the Quran and really want to understand what it says. What I do worry about is peoplebeing shot and beheaded for speaking against Islam and showing drawings of their prophet. There seems to be a contradition, maybe showing drawings is considered an aggression? In any case, this has nothing to with love, and I don't know how far we as humans should accept this behavior. Muslim, christian, atheist or anything else. I'm looking into the future with hope.

Just to correct, the Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him only traveled to Syria (بلاد الشام) twice in his life time. The first was with his uncle Abdualmutalib when he was 12 years old. The second was at the age of 25 when he looked after his wife's merchandise.

The Quran explains that different Prophets were relevant for different times, with different degrees of honor. Allah directly spoke to Moses, who spent forty years in the wilderness, fighting the disbelief of his own people. Moses was given a Book, but not mastery of the sword. David was born a shepherd, but became warrior, king, musician,, poet, and Allah's Caliph. Jesus was given the holy spirit, but no weapons for war, his mission was peaceful. Muhammed(SAV= Peace be upon Him) as the last Messenger, combined the characteristics of all the Prophets, as his mission was greater than that of any of his predecessors.

If you don't want the Quaran to be used for corruption: edit the book, take out the chapters. Or rewrite the book with clear warnings about what we are about to read and why in regards to self defence and attacking thine enemy. Some say this would be blasphemous to do.
