+1974spr Ali was a black Muslim, who had a big mouth and spoke his mind freely. That was a thorn in the eye of the US government and public. They couldn't defeat him inside the ring so they tried to kill him outside of it. Ali would have never came back from the Nam alive. I love Ali for what he did in the ring, but it's what he did outside of it that sets him apart from not only all other boxers, but other athletes. Suplex Nation Ninjabaseball batman ***** Alright. I'm about to teach y'all ignorant, pink, small-dicked, culture-less white people a couple of things here, because you're all clearly without some very basic knowledge. Rap doesn't stand for rhythm and poetry. It logically cannot, as rhythm is an aspect of poetry. That would be like calling a rock and roll rock and roll and music. It's a redundancy. Also, rap isn't a genre. Hip-Hop is. Rapping is the act of engaging in hip-hop music. Two different things. Do your melanin-deficient asses understand that? Rap music is called rap music because rap, by definition, is informally speaking, The etymology of this word is such because "rap" can also denote striking an object such that it creates a noise, hence, rapping, creating noise. Are your albino asses following now? Can you stop trying to change other peoples cultures now? White people I tell you... P.S. I've assembled a bit of literature for y'all stupid asses so you can be a little more educated next time you make baseless and flagrantly incorrect claims. www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=7550286 colemizestudios.com/how-did-rap-start/ novaonline.nvcc.edu/eli/evans/his135/events/rap79/rapmusic.html www.yale.edu/ynhti/curriculum/units/1993/4/93.04.04.x.html www.hiphop-network.com/articles/general/kurtisblowversionofhiphop.asp

***** He DID want to emulate Sugar Ray Robinson (and really, why NOT, IF you have the chops, which basically no one else could lay claim to), but Ali, while Clay, even, was a natural showman and promoter in a way all his own (save for taking a page out of the Wrestler Gorgeous George's book, i.e. get the crowd either loving or hating you, paying, either way, to see you win or whupped). Pound for pound, of course, SRR is the man. But IF they could both fight as heavies? I put my money on Ali. Ali was as fast as a lightweight, and as measured in frames of film from their fights, SRR threw his jab in 6 frames of film--Ali, in 4!.And nobody EVER moved like 1960's Ali, a creature seemingly hybridized from a ballerina and a gazelle, literally almost unhittable, while throwing punches in bunches. But you won't catch me disparaging SRR in the ring. PEACE

Pretty Floyd You immature child - do not label someone as "butthurt" or a "fanboy" when you're clearly exhibiting those characteristics. In neither of my comments did i accuse Mayweather of lacking skill. He is a gifted fighter and a brilliant in-ring strategist. However, facts are facts. This is not the boxing era of the 70s or even the 80s - where matches were based on a ranking system and NOT dictated by marketing/promotions. Mayweather dodges fights - this should have happened 3-5 years ago. By now, we should have witnessed the 2nd or 3rd rematch. Ali fought norton twice in '73 and once again in 76. Fought spinks twice in '78 Frazier in '71, '74 and '75. Get your facts straight - and YOU should stop sucking mayweather's dick. I don't want him to win or lose, i want to see him have more bouts and rematches consistently.

Sadly, after hearing the fast talking Ali, at 2:05 you can hear the slow down and slurring in his speach.

@@ahmerjadoon7680 lmao no. Custer was an Army General in the 1800s. He was a cocky, well known leader of soldiers who swore up and down his cavalry would annihilate any amount of Indians. Except during the Battle of Little Big Horn, he got himself whooped, killed and his entire cavalry annihilated fairly easily by the same Indians he swore wouldn't stand a chance against he and his army.

Yes, Ali DID trash talk, but he did it with a twinkle in his eye and with a humour that today's boxers cant match. We will never see his like again. R.i.P. The Greatest.
