I love how different interviews go with Ali and Tyson. People took the freedom to joke around with Ali cause even though he was the champ, the man was funny and had charisma. Tyson on the other hand.... Lol pretty sure reporters were much more alert interviewing Tyson.

Agreed, but Tyson was/is an absolute animal. He devoured people in the ring and was happy to do so. Ali, on the other hand, was much more graceful. He stated on multiple occasions that he didn't like "beating on people like an animal". He did what he had to do to win and that was it.

Well not necessarily. It's not really clear how close Ali was to death against Frazier, though he certainly must have not been in good shape if he had been feeling like he was about to die. The fight that was 100% the closest he was to death was actually against Larry Holmes. Ali came into that fight dehydrated and it's been thought that at any time during the fight, he could have suffered a stroke or heart attack. The craziest thing about that fight is that Ali did not want Dundee to stop the fight, he wanted to continue on.

It may have FELT that way for Ali, but the fact is is that it is NOT KNOWN how much damage he truly took from Frazier, get that into your head. And Holmes isn't the only reason that Ali was close to death in that fight. In my original comment I said he came in dehydrated, like dangerously dehydrated. Another thing that I forgot and left out was that he was taking thyroid medication as his Parkinson's was misdiagnosed. Ali also took them a lot as he thought they were like vitamins. Nobody should be fighting while on that medication, that includes Ali, as because of that, his dehydration, and how Holmes was beating on him it's been THOUGHT as I said before, that at any moment he could have had a heart attack or a stroke. That was only partly caused by Holmes.

Him and Eye are still Legends at the hospital we were treated at here in Arizona. Eye was shot in the head with a .45 cal 9mm and was in a coma for 2½ months. St. Joseph's & B.N.I. even named the floor we stayed on while he was being treated after him when he passed away. As well as the *whole building* we stayed in. We were in the ICU unit at the time in 2016.
