It's life's way of proving you wrong, methinks. It is interesting that you are a convert to Islam, though I know many prefer the word 'revert'. Have you been a Muslim for a long time? How are you coping with the strictures of Muslim life? And how did your family take your conversion? If you will allow me to ask. Unusual happenings in one's life can ensure that one goes through a metamorphosis. In your case, you came out a Muslim at the other end. 👍 I, too, have undergone a metamorphosis in recent years. I'm still waiting to come out on the other end, though! 😉 Your story sounds to be a very interesting one. By the way, thank you for the link. @E. Postbode Thank you so much for your very thoughtful response. It is much appreciated. All people--whatever faith they have, or none--have good days and bad days. All people have their ups and downs. But I must say that from the few comments you have written, you appear to be happy and well-adjusted to your 'new' life. There is much about Islam that I find very attractive, I have to say. But I am not so sure that I would take to the strictures Islam imposes. I am essentially a free thinker. If I feel like a glass of wine, I want one; and I don't want to have a conscience drinking it. But having said that, there is much to admire in Islam. Many people don't realise that. In years gone by, I spent a lot of time in the company of Muslims. I always got on so well with them. I found them to be kind and warm people. Very different from many in the West today. When I worked with Muslims in the Middle East, I could always count on my Muslim colleagues to help me if I needed someone's help. Not so my colleagues from the West. I have generally found Muslims to be nice people to be around.

While many Christians like Islamic videos and they convert to Islam, other Christians come to the comment section to preach their own idea of a triune god, and some of them even insult Allah (swt) and yet unaware that their fellow Arab Christians also call God as Allah and their Arabic Bible refers to God as Allah. Dear Christians, We, Muslims, are the ones who obey God's first 3 commandments in the Bible: 1. I am the LORD thy GOD. Thou shalt have no other gods before ME. 2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images. 3. Thou shalt not take the Name of the LORD thy GOD in vain. God never said that HE is a triune god. All the Prophets (including Jesus Christ (pbuh) worshiped only One God and not a triune god. The Qur'an (from cover to cover) says that God is only One. There is no deity except HIM, no partners, no associates. HE is the Creator of all things, the Lord of the worlds, the God of mankind, the Ever Living, the Eternal, the Almighty, the Forgiver, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. He is the Highest, the Most Exalted..and on..and on.. All beautiful Names belong to HIM. We submit to HIS will, i.e., we worship HIM alone. We don't associate any partner with HIM. We humble ourselves in prostration before HIM. We pray 5 times a day everyday, do fasting, do good deeds, and we try our best to avoid what is forbidden. Allah (swt) is sufficient for us. Your idea of a triune god will never be accepted in Islam and will never be accepted by any logical person. So, Christians, you don't need to bother to preach us, but rather, you should go preach to your fellow Christians, especially the Catholics. They worship idols. Their churches are filled with idols and pictures that they worship. They also worship Mary, the mother of Jesus (pbuh). They worship Mary, but they don't even follow the dress code of Mary (pbuh). And they also worship other people like St. Peter, St. John, St. Luke, St. Augustine, etc. And, Christians, listen to your own Bible scholar, Professor Bart Ehrman, about the errors, discrepancies, contradictions and forgeries in the Bible, and about the history of early Christianity. Learn about the other Gospels like the Gospel of Peter, the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, the Gospel of Judas, etc. that didn't make it to the New Testament. May Allah (swt), the Most Merciful, have mercy on you and guide you to the right path. Ameen.

Say some incidents where brilliance and qualities of Muhammad were revealed as you said, except wars, marriages and tricks to fool even educated Muslims. All miracles God/Allah did, as written in the Bible, was in daytime in front of people, so that people can see and believe God. Prophet Muhammad is a human. He is not God, thus which is why he has passed away. He complete His mission to spread Islam. Islam continue to grows 1400 years later. I pray fervently that God who is All-compassionate and All-Merciful will touch your heart and deliver you from the propensity for grandiosity and theater that plagues zealots of other Faith's. For myself, it is enough that Mohammed (pbuh) was touched by God to be His conduit. Mohammed does not have to be perfect any more than any other Prophet and need not be "the greatest leader". Likewise the Noble Quran need not be perfect nor does God require us to be perfect either.
