@@muhammadzubairsheikh6352 facepalm! nobody told him that. Its just that he was too fast, for anybody in the world cricket to handle and know how to manage/nurse such kind of express fast bowlers. We are talking about mid 90s here. It wasnt Wasim Akram's fault. He came even before Shoaib Akhtar. Who had physique of an express fast bowler. Zahid in comparison was a lot skinny. His back couldnt hold the bend he used to generate to find that level of pace as he used to. Remember! in the words of Shoaib Akhtar himself, Zahid was even more faster bowler then him. And u can tell, Wasim Akram had learned his lesson from Zahid. And had managed Shoaib better later when he came. During his captaincy, Shoaib never got injured even for once.

He was not the fastest bowler, He is actually the fastest bowler he is more fastest than shoaib akhtar and his line and length is more accurate than shoaib Akhtar. Shoaib Akhtar and Rashid Latif endorsed him many times on PTV. But one thing won by Shoaib that he has a strong mind he fought with his injuries where Zahid never recovered and decided to quite the cricket PCB doesn’t care of our players how to use the players. A player who has strong mindset makes his space in international cricket by his/her own will power indeed they came from poor background and had no assistance no leadership.

In that same talk show Rashid said Shoaib was quicker when pitching short and Zahid was quicker when pitching full. In any case Zahids forearms seem thinner than my seven year old. And Shoaib bulked himself up allowing more longevity. Zahids physique and PCBs mismanagement shortened his career. Such a waste

With the pitches in RSA for the world cup being on the spicy side he would have been a handful alongside Shoaib Which meant either Akram who eventually ended up their leadinv wicket taker that tournament or Waqar who was the Captain had to sit out to make way for him Thats the wasy things go sometimes which can make or break a career and it needs strong einning minds to get that combo right. But he was damn rapid especially 96-97😊

I doubt there would be videos of that either. Can you check series in England and Australia around that time, maybe he played then.

What do you mean by wasted talent? The so called talent was not able to walk properly on two legs, so who do you think wasted him? To play anyone needs to be fit first. And did you check the records of Basit and Mujtaba? Mujtaba was so so lucky to be given those many opportunities, a pathetic player who would perform only once in 20 innings. Ditto with Basit in Test matches. Though Basit could have played more ODIs but he ran into issues with team management and the player groups.
