💈 Muhle R41 - Feather Hi Stainless DE Blade 💈

Just went back to watch this because the Mrs. ordered an r41 razor for me as a “social distancing” gift and it arrived yesterday. I experienced what you did with my shave yesterday. I used a Feather blade and really felt the tug that I often get with a new Feather blade. Feather is my “go to” blade even in my Futur which is my most used razor. As you can see I am not afraid of an aggressive razor; but you are the champ. I could NOT do a three pass shave with the Muhle. More power to you. I’ll give it a second go tomorrow. Boxing Day was named for the day that servants were given holiday after working Christmas Day to make the celebrations “merry” for their employers. They were given their Christmas “boxes” with leftover food, goodies, and other gifts by their employers and the chance to go home and make-up boxes of their own to share. Like that shirt and LOVE that Christmas Tree. Mrs. H for the WIN!!!

Good evening Paul! Your sound stage tree is pure magic...it is getting lovelier each time I see it. The Winter Spice soap sounds like Christmas to me as well. Muhle R41 with a Feather blade? Good thing you live near the NWH! You're just at 10 minutes into the video and we have blood. I think the R41 is a very efficient razor and cut as close as any. I recently used the R41 with a vintage Gillette Super Silver with good results. I do prefer to use carbon blades with that particular razor. Yeah, 18 minutes into the video and the Muhle R41 and the Feather Hi Stainless has turn this into a proper bloodletting. You are a brave soul Paul. I am glad you survived this shave. Why is the day after Christmas called Boxing day? "A 'Christmas Box' in Britain is a name for a Christmas present. Boxing Day was traditionally a day off for servants and the day when they received a 'Christmas Box' or bonus from the master. The servants would also go home on Boxing Day to give 'Christmas Boxes' to their families" London Evening Standard.

Very nice shave Paul! My Christmas shave will be with Captain's Choice North shaving soap, smells just like a freshly cut spruce tree! Outstanding tree Mrs. H! One of your best shave yet Paul. Starting off with spectacular flowers from Mrs. H. Outstanding! Done my Christmas shopping you ask - haven't even started! I've got both of these razors and I would say that the Futur is more aggressive but the Muhle seems to "bite" more, if that makes sense. I always have to take care when using it. And I really like the L'Oreal birch sap range of products (shave balm, moisturiser and a shower gel). Looking forward to the Sunday (Christmas Eve) shave. All the best mate.

Hi Paul I watch all your videos and they are all great. I have very sensitive skin and I find it very hard to get a very close shave I do have alot of safety razors. Open and closed comb. But sadly still have found a razor yet for my skin

I usually use R41 with Feather. It is good combo for me, but I don't doing ATG pass. With WTG and XTG this shave is so close to BBS.

Good shave Paul...Soap worked well considering the razor and blade used...Your skin must be a tough as a Rino's Butt...for me that shave would have to have a suicide note attached to my shirt...lol....Braveheart for sure...I always say.."Feathers are for Birds"...I'm a perma sharp or pol silver. I think with this combination should use a pre shave oil. Veeeeery aggressive, tried it yesterday, some nicks and cuts on the jawline and under that. Deep shave though BBS for 17 hours or so. Merry Christmas to you and your family. George F

Hallo. Mühle hat auch noch ein r89 Rasierhobel. Bei dem ist der Kamm geschlossen. Ich habe eine Frage wegen Rasierklingen. Was soll ich tun, wen für mich selbst die 7 o´clock gelbe Packung zu stumpf sind? Die sind ja schärfer als die Feather Klingen aus Japan. Aber trotzdem sind die unangenehm für mich, ich habe trotz der Schärfe dieser Klingen, unangenehmen Gefühl bei der Rasur.

A very nice, informative and detailed video! Thanks a lot! Just one hint: It's "Mühle", not "Muhle", and if you don't have an "ü"-key just write/type "ue" instead. By the way: "Mühle" is pronounced "Müh-Lay" instead of "Miool" ("ü" being pronounced like the French "u" - so a halfway house between "ee" and "oo"). If you have troubles with the "ü"-sound just say "Mee-Lay". It's incorrect, but every native German speaker will understand what you mean. If you say "Miool", no one will. Withal: Not using Umlaute (Ä, Ö, Ü) both in pronuciation and written form can lead to massive missunderstandings. E.g.: Schlosser = locksmith BUT Schlösser = palaces Masten = masts BUT mästen = to fatten schwul = gay (homosexual) BUT schwül = muggy Bar = bar/pub BUT Bär = bear Dosen = cans/tins BUT dösen = to doze Schussel = scatterbrain BUT Schüssel = bowl schon = already BUT schön = beautiful/handsome etc. Best regards from Vienna, Austria

Way too aggressive of a razor. I had to give mine away. Even on your not-so-sensitive skin Paul it chewed you up pretty good. I've only seen one KZbinr shave with this razor and not get a bleeder and that was Geo of Shave Nation. It's the Russian Roulette of razors! LOL
