love being the fun fact person; after 'the girl worth fighting for', there are no more musical numbers. The movie goes from a musical with war undertones to a movie about war (as far as disney was able to). Also, the doll of the killed girl is the 'girl worth fighting for'. they realise that what actually matter is not a fictional girl they may impress with their war-skills or wtv, but the children, girls and boys alike, who they can safe. I love the tonal shift! i think its very daring for the movie

That wild vibe change at the end illustrated when the movie suddenly took on a more serious tone as new recruits get hit with the weight of what war actually looks like. Shang's father, his men, and people of an entire village got wiped out. In this scene after the song, the little girl's doll gets brought up, as she was an innocent child murdered as a war victim. Watching this, i remembered a mexican telenovela that has a subplot that reminds me of Mulan. The subplot is about a girl who has an older brother who is a matador. Early into the show, her brother tragically dies (i think to a bull) so she cuts her hair, becomes a matador just to kill that bull, and assumes her brothers identity. Then she befriends this military guy. I can't remember if the brother was supposed to meet this guy or if they were friends from long ago. BUT in a similar fashion to Mulan. They become friends. Then she falls in love with him. She then doesn't know whether to come clean due to the fact shes been lying to him. Then, on the other side, he doesn't know how to feel about his feelings towards her (who he thinks is a guy). In the end, she comes clean, he realizes what his feeling towards her are and they end up together. I was a kid and its been nearly 20 years so i might be remembering some details wrong.

The younger sister kills the bull that killed her matador brother and she then assumes the identity of a man. The main plotline revolves around 3 characters. 2 step brothers and a girl they mutually like. The older brother is adopted but the younger one thinks they are actually brothers and looks up to him. Then, of course, once the girl comes into the picture. It just escalates from there

Since it was all caused because of Scar, you can argue he got the biggest kill count. That being said, the three movies that showcase the most death would be, in order from lowest to highest, Hercules, Atlantis and Dinosaur.

The interesting thing here that isn't touched upon enough is that Mulan's father seems to be an actually respected soldier, possibly from a previous war, hence the armor and the sword already in storage. Also Mulan being packing a hefty punch already even before training would show how deep the strength runs in their genes. I doubt they'd make the old crippled man fight in the war, but they would've most likely used him as a veteran to help train the inexperienced troops.

I'll Make a Man out of You is such a goated song!!! The lyrics and instruments are just phenomenal!!!This movie is still goated overall, a line that makes me laugh is Mushu saying, "Dishonor on you!!!! Dishonor on your cow!!!!!"

I love the songs in this movie, they're on par with the songs in Moshi Monsters: The Movie, which they should watch. Hey, what else am I supposed to put in the first minute of this video being published?
