It's awesome that you guys showed a little more of the real frustration and heartbreak that comes with DIY hunting trips. Not everybody bags a trophy every time but you stuck with it and came back for more even when the odds were stacked against you with the weather.
@MuleyFreak4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words. The reality is that this is public land. Things can and will go wrong. Add the elements of the high country and it's extremely difficult - especially with a bow. Ultimately, for us, it's about having fun, learning, and getting better. We try to work hard and never give up. Live by those things and it will get you further in life. At least in our opinion. Thanks for watching, Kevin. We wish you the best of luck in 2020!
@kevinmclaughlin97964 жыл бұрын
I was able to take my first public land Muley here in Oklahoma on opening day of the 2019 black powder season. I would not have even attempted it with a bow just yet without know the terrain or the habits of those animals. I had planned a three day hunt but with the plan that the first killable buck to step in range was going to be the one I took home. Everything came together just before sunset and I ended up getting a 5x6 who was tailing a group of does.

That's so badass my brother and I had the same kind of scenario a couple years back on our rifle deer.. we dumped into the hell hole after watching a buck for 2 hours in the morning bedded he stood up I took him.. we packed him out, took care of the meat then dropped back in, in the afternoon and we located the biggest buck we put to bed the night before.. my brother took him.. we packed out 2 deer, 1 day, out of one of those famous hell holes us as hunters all decided to drop in to... was a hunt I wont ever forget!!

I think the pain we all seek could be a sick shirt with a guy packing a buck off the mountain or something. Great bucks for sure sad to hear about the other hunters but props to the guys for not completely bashing them I'm sure those hunters feel pretty sick about it. I wish there was product list or a end of episode gear summary that would be cool to do I was interested in so many things they used in the episode. Or even doing a short video of packing your pack when packing out the buck I know this last fall my elk I packed out didn't look nearly as packed neat as clean as their packs so some pro tips would be so appreciated!!!
