Last year, I searched and searched for Mullien and only found some along the roadside. I gave up searching and figured, if I absolutely needed it I knew where it would be since they were all 1st year plants. I wasnt thrilled with their location although we are country roads here. Then lo and behold, late autumn, I saw some growing on my property. I harvested some leaves then, and this year, I have found a ton of 2nd year plants. We are overrun with Kudzu so I figure it must have covered last year's plants. You are fortunate, your husband is wise enough to recognize what was helpful for him. Mine, not so much. I made up a tea blend with mullien, stinging nettle, and purple dead nettle, as an allergy blend. I also added licorice root to give it a sweeter flavor. He started drinking it, I think because it was here and he doesnt care for coffee in the morning. Plus I had made it up into little tea bags using oragami with coffee filters. All spring he had no allergy symptoms, although he usually is plagued with seasonal allergies. I mentioned it might be the tea. He wouldnt acknowledge that, and for some reason he bought some tea bags from the store and started drinking that. And about 2 weeks later.. ..BOOM..... seasonal allergies kick in. I mention perhaps because he wasnt drinking my tea. He won't acknowledge that. But my hubby is absolutely addicted to Big Pharma and the medical industry. So there is that.

This plant is not only pretty it has some nice healing properties. I take the seeds when they have dried and spread them along the sides of the gravel camp road here. One plant has SOOO many seeds! Another great video!

That’s how we introduced some to the property as well. The very first one that came up was on the edge of our dirt driveway. I’m hoping to grow a whole garden row of it next year. 💚
