Nice job. I didn't know the plant would draw out splinters! I've got a couple Dewberry thorns I've been trying to get out for a week or more. Thank you.

So interesting and helpful as always! I’ve made plantain oil before and this inspires me to take the next step and try a salve. Thanks!❤

I infused plantain, usnea and calendula flowers separately then combined to make similar salves. One salve uses all 3 plus tea tree oil as a substitute for neosporin. The other omits the usnea and I added activated charcoal and bentonite clay as a drawing salve. The drawing salve worked wonders when I was stung by a bee on the cheek bone about 2 inches below my eye. I quickly covered the sting with the drawing salve. When I finally washed my face to get the salve off, I had such minimal swelling and no angry red mark from the stinger.

A kitty herbalist! I so look forward to your videos- this one was brave 😱 I can’t back up the veracity, but I’ve seen people recommend wrapping beeswax blocks & hitting them with a hammer to break them up. I wasn’t able to find pellets locally before (but they do have them w/ shipping at The Honey Exchange.) Thanks for making my morning ☺️

Thank you for the suggestion on the beeswax blocks. My husband likes that idea a lot. He’s thinking a hammer/chisel combo would do the trick? Chuckie is indeed the star of the show, he’s always at my heels anytime I’m in the garden ☺️💚

Thank you! I’m not sure how to find a traditional or clinical herbalist in NY, but I’d be happy to do some research and let you know what I find out.

You could try grating the beeswax.
@theacadiangarden3 ай бұрын
That’s an excellent idea, thanks so much. I’ll have to buy another grater for just wax and try that out.

Glad that poultice worked so well! Thanks so much for the detailed shots of how to tell identify the proper plants/herbs and all the detail you put in your videos--that is so helpful! As for the beeswax, just grate it and weigh it as you go - it's so much easier and no waste!👍 I really appreciate the video - Thank you! 🙂
